I believe this to be a console shifter shaft. Not sure what it came from. I’m not going to use a console. $60.00 plus the ride or trade me something for a barracuda or small block.

Looks like a console shift handle. How does it attach to the 90deg strap connecting to the shifter box? Has this one been just cut off of the strap? I haven't seen a complete shifter handle in person, so curious. I have a 4spd console that I am planning on installing in my 67 Barracuda.

This is a real Hurst A-body console shifter.

So, it may be short by 1/2" or more, if you were to wel it in place like an original?

Looks like an original handle may extend through the angle plate ~ 1/4"-5/16"?
 
Hard to say how much was cut off. Definitely the mount obviously. Get a measurement on it.
Only 1 reason I can think of why it would be cut lol.
