since i got the car i have been getting the parts for the conversion in my 75 scamp. i got the trany, bellhousing, fork, flywheel, clutch, zbar, zbar hardware, ball studs, shifter, floor pan, tranny mount, throw out bearing, pedals, and the rods to engage clutch. i think thats about all thats needed for the swap not including the frame reinforcement bracket that i made. if there is something i am forgetting or dont know about let me know. this can be a conversion thread with all the parts needed.

this week i have put the frame ball stud in and got the reinforcement bracket in place. i have also cut the floors up and will glue the new hump in because it is hard to get access to a welder. i also got the pedals in with the brakes hooked back up and the under dash clutch linkage hooked up. i will put the engine in with the bellhousing and clutch in. can i put the pilot bearing in with the clutch in place? but i will do that so i can make sure the clutch is working and the linkages are smooth. then as soon as the pilot bearing gets here i will put the tranny in:)

tell me if i am forgetting anything. i think i have done pretty good research but i can always learn something:)

I,d wait, put the pilot bearing in first before anything else(proper fit)once you have it in,then flywheel,pp then clutch and b.housing.You want to make sure you have the proper p.bearing before you bolt anything else up.My 2 cents.

thats kinda what i was thinkin. i need to drop the motor in the bay to have a safe place to keep it. but will take the bellhousing back off and all after i make sure the clutch all works. anything else i need to know?

What part of the clutch system are you checking to make sure it all works?

well to make sure i got it all put together right. i have never done a conversion like this or even worked on a mopar 4 speed lol. so i would like the assurance of knowing that it is all put together correct. even if i have to pluu it all back off

If you had a 904, you'll need the larger yoke for the 833. The 727 yokes are the same as the 833. U-joint size may be different pending yoke. Driveshaft length will be an issue as well.

thats the other thing i got. i different driveshaft lol. i have not checked yokes yet but will do that as soon as i can and remember. i have had the driveshaft for a few months and still havent even taken off the duct tape holding the yoke caps on lol

today i got the pilot bushing in so that will save some work. i was thinkin the motor was in a auto car but there were two holes in the crank and the 2nd or smaller hole fit the pilot bushing fine and it is in there sturdy and all lol so i hope it is right lol. if someone has pics of both cranks that would be helpfull. but now it looks like just time is holding me back lol.

Make sure you clip the throw out bearing onto the fork and then slide the fork onto the pivot before you install the transmission..............:-D

so we put the engine and tranny all in today. i think i maght be missing something for the clutch fork tho. dose the fork pivot on the bell housing itself? or is there something that bolts to the inside of the housing that sticks up and it pivots on that? we hooked it up and the clutch is missing something or way outta adjustment and we tried it as far both ways as we could go still nothing

Theres a clip on the inside of the bellhousing that the fork clips into. thats it and it pivots from there. And you won't just move that clutch by hand with the fork.... That pressure plate puts alot of pressure on the clutch.
