This is my 3rd 833 I'm rebuilding, first on was out of a 1968 Barracuda, and I had to press that countershaft out, 2nd one was a OD one with a cast iron case, that countershaft I was able to push out by hand. The 3rd one is a OD one with an aluminum case, I thought it would be like the second one and i would be able to push the countershaft out by hand, but its not budging. How do I get it out?

They don't normally come out "by hand" but a big brass drift and light to medium taps with a hammer should get things moving

Make sure you remove the plug first, lol, Don't ask me how I know

Yes, remove the welch plug from the from of the case and tap the counter shaft out towards the rear of the case. Sometimes the counter shaft rotates slightly in the case causing the woodruff key to get stuck, it might take more than a little love tap to knock it out.
