Courtesy Staging?

-
Get it done, but at your pace......that's what i've been talking about.:thumrigh:
It doesnt matter to me if i stage first ot last but if someone double bulbs me right off...I take my time. The nubees learn pretty quick not to do that.:joker:

It's just that "courtesy". I believed it stems from pro classes back in the day trying to burn each other down.

Our track practices courtesy staging, but it is not a rule so you dont have to do it. Some guys like to double bulb the rookies as to throw them off their game. Not very sporting if you ask me. If you have to resort to those tactics your not much of a racer.

Best thing for a rookie is to just pay attention to your lights, you have enough to concetrate on, just try to be consistent each time, you will find you get better faster.

I normally go on and stage. Unless a tard that likes to play around up there.

This coming from the guy who will mess with you at the tree more than anybody else at the track. A slow car will do that to a guy I suppose.

My very first time to the track I double-bulbed a bracket guy. I was excited and all I knew was get int he lights... He was very cool about it but made it a point to explain what it was I was doing. So since then I light my prestage first and wait. If the guy's taking his time that's fine. Once he's prestaged I'll light my second and "get in the zone" because at that point he should have his **** together.

I'm assuming your just foot braking a automatic, which is the easiest to get used to. Once you've done your burnout, just roll up close to the beams and check where your opponent is. If there close to the beams also you can go ahead and pre stage. Once the're pre staged just play your own game and go in and stage when comfortable, within reason, and don't let them throw you off your game. Same deal if they stage first, you do your deal. Everyone you run will be different but you'll get the hang of it. While your waiting to run, just hang around the line and observe the faster classes and put yourself in there cars. Watch close and pretend it's you in there. You'll pick it up quick. Once you get some experience, just remember, you're not there to be courteous to them, you're there to win.

Rick,
I always tend to like you answers the best. Your one hell of a insightfull dude!

Thank you so much, that means a lot. I did get a little carried away on the one post, so i tried to rectify it. I just love racin' and can get a little too serious at times....lol. I'm sure you'll do great, and just wish i was there to watch you succeed.......Like i put in my signature...BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN:thumblef:.

I can,t stand the guy that waits til you,ve done your burnout, then starts his while you wait WTF?:burnout:

I guess I should have studied Greek harder in High School. I always thought it was go on the third beep.

I usually end up pre staging first. then when were both pre staged i bump in until i just brake the 2nt beam. I could care less if he beats me to the 2nt bulb or he is slow. That's my pace and you can full stage first or 2nt. makes no difference to me. but if you want full stage first......You had better be quick!:D

I agree with you 100% . I don't care if you are first or last
I will go in do my burn out clear out the carb make sure ever thing is good
Pull up pre stage and wait . Wait for you to do the same I have got all day
After you pre stage I will wait a sec or two if u don't move I will. Then it up to you . I don't care if I go in first or last. I am there to race that's all.
If I piss you off oh well .
