Trunk wasn't shut all the way in the picture. I would take another one but... I can't right now. Ill grab one tomorrow after I paint the black.

I think I should strip the anodizing off these too because they are kind of beat up...

It's 56 degrees and there is a slight breeze... thats cold to me. I'm old and my body doesn't do to well with the cold. We are doing a Christmas thing with my mom, so after that I'll probably take the car out to burn some rubber, it has heater, or at least hot air comes out of the vents lol

I'm 31 but in the body of a 60+ year old. Rheumatoid arthritis and heart surgery already. Ive been applying for disability insurance lately and have gotten denied from 5 companies so far, they won't let me buy disability because of my medical history... lame..
Yea its sunny here today too, just cold with a wind chill. I'm wearing my Santa shirt today that says "I do it for the Ho's." My wife is wearing a matching one that says "there's some Ho's in this house."

Oh damn buddy I don’t know you had those issues. How does the arthritis hold up doing all that sanding? I have a slight heart condition myself. Had a mortar land next to me in Iraq and ever since then I’ve had an irregular heart beat. Luckily I didn’t get physically injured by it somehow.

Come visit. Our highs today are under freezing :D
I love it!

Getting help from the professional tonight.... she said she is way better at it than me... true. I did the 3 black things in the middle though, started with a paint pen and it was to hard so switched to a black sharpie and it worked wonderful.

Ok... this sucks... I feel like I should just go buy a couple of nice sharpies and call it a day...

Black sharpie will turn purple in the sun. Cheap AR manufacturers will use it to touch up anodize rack marks on the black parts. The Caswells pens are the right ones to use, but the paint doesn't flow very well.

Here's a trick: buy some water based acrylic model paints. Mix a drop of dawn detergent into a capful and thin it with water to just thicker than milk. Do a few costs, let dry and then you can use a paper towel or microfiber towel to wipe over it and leave only color behind in the debossed marks.

It's a technique used for "oil washing" plastic models to bring out. Minor details like panel lines.

I took all the tape off and used the brush with my paint pen. It worked so much better that way...

All I have left to do it the sides.

Drove it to school... my speedo needle jumps all over the place while driving. I also smelled some old car and a little bit of maybe transmission fluid (?) Car ran great! 3k rpm on the freeway, if I hit the gas the thing really loves to go, like it hits a powerband... dang I love this car! I can't wait to stroke it... it needs to get more smiles per gallon and less miles per gallon.

Oh also stopped for a prescription on my way home... pissed off everyone in front of me... the car is so loud and makes such an echo while in this line :icon_fU:

I also need to adjust my brakes again. :BangHead: I think its my parking brake causing them to stick and squeek. I'm over the brakes.
