Good idea going with the electric die grinder. I myself get annoyed hearing an air compressor pumping non stop.

Whe originally said no to buying a grinder, but I let her know its either I buy an electric one or she is going to have to listen to the air compressor all the time and hopefully it doesn't wake the baby from her naps :D

she's going to look pretty silly when you keep buying parts even though you don't have a car...

Haha I know right... think of how many parts I can buy with all the money we get selling the car... my garage will end up looking like Aarcuda's... I'd for sure build a stroker motor... with aluminum heads...

if I can do a somewhat decent job on the xheads I figure I can maybe get them to flow 250-260 peak? They are supposed to flow what 220 peak..

Eastwood also has a foot-speed electric die grinder you might look into. My only gripe with it is the head unit is lighter than I'm used to with pneumatics.

I saw an Eastwood kit online, it came with burrs too. But it was 110... Im trying to keep it all as CHEAP as I can...

Got to hang with Aarcuda today. Put some heads on his block. He even let me take a picture... they are pretty...

Also picked up my die grinder today and a couple of small stones.

Gotta stay off Craigslist and Offerup... found this little stash for 30 bucks w/ 8 dollars shipping... I didnt buy it but thats a good deal.

Lincoln welder. Weld up the spider gears for a cheap spool, sure grip, etc.

When I was younger I would put the 3.91 in my Challenger on Friday evening, then put the 3.23 in on Sunday evening.
Make the brake lines long enough to slide the axles out enough to drop the center.
3.91 were awesome weekend gear, but sucked for daily use down the interstate.

So I made a dummy mistake when I took the car to see Tony last week... I left a brake wrench on the drivers side drum rear bleeder screw.... :BangHead: I was putting tools away and found it. When I took it off I accidentally opened the bleeder screw...

So wife helped me rebleed the brakes. Then the owner and I went to her school to pick up her homework for the next 2 week. She was happy as can be to ride in her car.. Her teacher was super excited as well and said her car was so pretty and that the purple car matched her purple dress.
Life is good!

I'm going to set up the porting table tonight or tomorrow to work on the cylinder heads this weekend.

Go to car shows and swap meets and buy die grinder bits for 5 a piece. I live near a lot of aerospace so I always see new carbide bits and sandpaper rolls for sale. Some minor flaws, most perfect. I wouldn't waste time with stones.

I got some carbide burs... went to Mcfaddendales, an industrial hardware store here in town... they were like 55 bucks for 3! Amazon is cheaper...the stones are just to smooth it up after if I feel like I need to.

I also got my die grinder.

I got the shape on the left with the shorter shank for $5 new Boeing 'surplus'....yeah OK. Have not hurt it in 10 years. Use some wax on it and it won't load up on Aluminum.

Yea I've seen people say wax or even dip it in ATF... I'm only using it on the cylinder heads but I hope they last a while. The long shank was 22 bucks, but the shorter shanks were 13-15 bucks.

Dont want your porting job perfectly smooth. A little rough helps with atomization, smooth the fuel sticks to the walls. Think of the divets on golf balls.

I love driving this car! At times I wish it was 100% complete and I had no thoughts of it ever breaking down. Then I'd probably daily drive it...
I understand that. I daily drive my 65 dart for quite awhile. 25 miles round trip my only issues were my fuel guage doesn’t work, and sometimes my ignition would lose power. When the ignition loses power its the worst always at a stop light lol.
