I pulled one myself with the help of 6 beers and a pair of pliars.I got some pliers and anesthetic at my house, let's get it out!
Got it out, man what I did not expect was how much blood came along with that stupid moment I had.

Come to Southern Oregon, Doc! We have great weather, hardly any snow in the winter, nice summers. An hour drive will get you to a multitude of lakes in the summer or mountains in the winter. Two hours will get you to the beach.
Southern Oregon is pretty conservative, not like our wacky neighbors to the north.
I'm looking at eastern Washington.
I've been in south Dakota the past couple days.... its a very very good opportunity salary wise... plus an extra 83k from the state state the first 3 years.

My cousin just moved to SD. Harsh winters, I hear. We'll see.
Yea thats what I'm worried about. It would only be 3 years because the grant requirement is 3yr commitment. I'm not "in love" with it there though, that is what makes me apprehensive. My wife is thinking she likes SD better than Missouri, but I'm opposite at this point haha.
Aberdeen is considered the coldest city in South Dakota according to Google.

Honestly, it doesn't look THAT bad. Summers are long and warm. Precipitation isn't excessive in the winter so no mountains of snow, but you'll likely get some of the white stuff.
A set of studded tires should keep the dart on the road through the winter.
But any non-desert place risks massive rust issues. Start planning for some sort of corrosion protection! I'd be looking at a backpack sprayer full of something like liquid film or LPS3 to spray the entire underside of the car and all the suspension and trunk interior every season, and a pressure washer to get any road grime and salts or snow-melt chemicals off the car. Even if you don't drive in the snow/rain, that stuff is in all the road dust and causes a lot more undercar corrosion than us southwestern inhabitants are used to - especially in spring when the weather suddenly looks nice and you just can't help yourself.

S.D would have to pay me an extra $500,000 per year and all the thermal underwear I could use. Plus a doz. of those wool caps with the insulated ear flap things! Move there and we will be saying " We told you so!" haI'm looking at eastern Washington.

In Oregon, roads aren't salted. We hardly see any corrosion. Most of the rust we see is when cars are parked in fields or under trees for years. Lol.

I hear E. Oregon is cowboy country I could do there.
S.D. is cowboy country too, just that they all winter in Tx and Az. ha
I have had several rust free cars out of S.D. and Mn. BUT they were NEVER driven there in the winters! ha
They're not salted in Idaho either, but the stuff they use to prevent ice is definitely corrosive. Had the same pipes on my bike in Vegas for 5 years - no issues. One year here, spring ride before the roads were washed or rained-out and they're rusting through the coating! They say it's not corrosive, but it's still hygroscopic and definitely has an effect on steel. Had the same experience in western washington too... not quite as bad, and not near as bad as actual salt-salt, but it still does a number on metal! It's almost nice having a leaky valve cover, just to keep all the bolts from rusting solid

Hey, I’m in eastern Washington.
The Dr I started talking to is in Tri-Cities area.
Yowza. That would make you a neighbor! We could put together a 69 Dart-Fest, I know there are several more in the area.

Difference in weather between SW Mo. and Aberdeen, S.D. is like being in S. Fl. or North Pole!!! ha BUT if I was making that much $$ I could stand the weather where ever!
Go look at S.D. when it s NOT spring, bud!! ha
What part of Washington are you in?
