I've got a (almost mint) dashpad for my wifes Duster. The only problem is that when in storage, it had a heavy object against the corner of it,making a dent in the pad. Does anybody know of a way to repair the pad without damaging it. The picture isn't the best, my battery was dying on me.
Thanks.

Have you tried a heat gun, just don't get it too hot.

No I haven't tried anything yet. I am a long ways from installing the dash pad but I thought I woud ask now to get us closer to the 500,000 posts.....lol
A heat qun might work and quenching the area might help keep it in place afterwards. Like you mentioned, I'll have to be careful with the heat. I'm just wondering what the foam will do?
Thanks

I think your SOL you should just ship it to me, I just live around the corner in Medicine Hat.

j/k have you tried calling an upholstery shop they might have an idea.

Nice try Dorian\\:D/......I've tried that move in the past and it just doesn't work:toothy10:
There is an Uphostery shop near by, I'll check with them and see what they say

Hello, i have removed quite a few smaller dents from dashpads using steam, if the pad is off hold it over the boiling kettle. May depend on the size but worth a try, the lady i know whoss been auto interiors for 20 years showed me.

Good luck

like the man said a heat gun or good hair dryer let it get nice and WARM in a BIG AREA and most will come out on its own keep it WARM and work the rest out with your fingers. and MOPAR TO YA.........
