I always find it interesting when people have an emotional response to any appeal to logic.
 
The old dudes can't stand Youtube it's hilarious, you guy's must've been really upset when they replaced your Phonograph Cylinders with Vinyl Records.

I’m glad I Dont get many calls or texts asking if I port this junk. My customers are a pretty smart group of guys that go right to a better product.
 
Ah, remember the days when you'd read something in a mag and the only person who could hear you complaining about the content, had to be in the same room as you? :)

And don't get too clucky about "smart customers". PRH once made a comment on how some guy had a CNC program that did a better job on, ( I think it was 906 heads?), than he had ever done.
So one day those smart customers may just come to the conclusion that a machine can do your job faster and cheaper.

And they just pull the pattern out of space that the cnc is designed from. I’ve never had a cnc’d head in my hands that I couldn’t make better. No matter what someone has to get dirty to get the job done.

Somehow I don't think that's ever going to happen.
If anything John could charge more for his work and still choose the job.

I couldn’t give a single **** what Vizard thinks and does. The fact that he hooked his name to this circus act says volumes about him.

And it’s sad really.

When you post some logic I’ll be the FIRST to acknowledge it. So far, it’s all straight crapola and quotes from people you probably don’t even know, and then you MISquote them.

Heard that argument years ago from a guy I know who does heads. He now has a CNC machine..
He said porting heads the old way was like sweeping a floor with tooth brush and rolling around in the mess while your doing it. The machine does the bulk of the work quicker, has a database of "what works", he's able to map other peoples work for comparison and all he does is a tidy up, if needed.
Look at CNC hones, way quicker turn around time, less block heating, better surface finish and a 16 year old kid could use one.
