DC tac hook up..?..

so why don't you try and add something...

That one on EBay looks nice and less than 200 bucks look like a deal.
But buying at a swap meet is a much better deal. because you can look at it.

These dist are ancient, and the biggest worry, for me, would be the tach drive.
It has to be some kind of a worm gear attached to the shaft. I would be looking for excessive play in that area.

And for the Record. I didn't buy a 1000 dollar carb and all the parts i replaced to find the problem was nowhere near a 1000 dollars and i now own two carbs.:icon_fU:
I have four carbs for my dual quads but I'm not sure what that has to do with the price of tea in China..
Yeah that kind of got me concerned as well I get the distributor and then I got to find the right generator and then all this stuff has to work nice and flawlessly...
I would much rather just have some kind of conversion and run the tachometer in a more modern way..

The dist is easy to find, the generator is the catch 22.
The tea in china, is the 1000.00 dollar carb that YR had suggested, that you imply, i had bought.

just went and looked. Thought I had a tach drive dizzy but it was a dual point big block Mallory. I tried

LOL. I find stuff there every year I go. You just don't know what to look for.

BTW, are we going for cheeseburgers after the swap meet???
You can buy me a steak if you come up to No Prep at Kent this summer.
I will be over at Lizzy's pit chatting with Pat.
Make that 6 steaks. lol

I figure there should be a secret code word so you know it's me???...

No code. I'll just look for the goofy dude strolling around. I'll know it's you.

One goofy dude in the sea of goofy dudes...

Maybe you can both just wear one of these.
shopping

I think right now I'm just going to put it back on the display case and talk to that guy and Illinois next week when he gets back from vacation..
Also like said I can just wait and see if I can get some accommodating parts..

I've seen these on eBay or on the Internet.. at one point there was one for sale with the box and everything and as I understand it Ford babe a version as well..

What? NPK's are going to that above ground chess pool??? Another loss for the much better track just 3 hours south.

What a waste. And yes, if I can make it to that rock pit I'll take you out for a steak.

The standard TachMatch TM-03 is used in most applications. It allows triggering from a coil ignition, HEI, MSD, and ECU tach output signals. It will directly drive most voltage-driven tachometers, as well as vintage tachometers, such as early Sun, S-W and Radatron units which are typically identified by only having two terminals on the back, labeled + and -. With vintage tachometers, the TachMatch is installed in place of the original sender module, which is no longer necessary.

I found this, you may give them a call.

So now, we have the generator and the tach of this 3 piece puzzle. If Jpar can't find the correct distributor at the swap meet, I'd bet FABO member Halifaxhops either has one or can find it.

That would be VERY VERY cool.
