Disrespect at a car show.

C'mon dont blame the kid in the orange shirt....take a look at the last pic, looks like he is only allowed to eat everything with a spoon...LOL

See now all these stories scare me to have my duster at a show (when it gets done that is). I had my Challenger at a small show here locally and everyone wanted to get inside trying to reach their hands in the car and yes my window was up within an inch from the top.
Go figure people have no respect.
I will start to invest in safety cones with velvet ropes now to prepare for any future shows.

That is a nice muscle shirt too bad someone did not tell him he is ill prepared to wear it. Long splits down the side, watch out he is a tough guy.

3rd frame down, looks like both kids speaking to the owner. Orange shirt mostly hidden by white shirt, but he's there.

Agree, if it ain't yours, keep your mitts off.

If ya want to sit in one of my cars, ask. No problem with me there. If I want to wander around, I roll windows almost up and lock it.

From my experience viper owners are as anal as most chevy folks so it appears they had permission. Of course one way to keep kids away at a show is to hang out in the early -a section. We are surrounded by a more geriatric crowd & kids have no interest.

Oldschoolcuda

The reason I think the owner was not involved is because the hood slammed shut and the owner would have shut it nicer.

I'm going to bet they asked. Even in the first picture the guy is leaning in the passengers side window and he doesn't look like he is pissed off in the other pics.
My dad had his truck in a car/bike show last year and a bike mag asked to do a shoot of it with a couple of their girls. He was ok with it but after they were done laying all over it while covered in baby oil my Mom handed them a cloth and told them to clean the truck. The look on their face was priceless but they did do it.

We have witnessed the same thing on many occations my friend had someone open his door to look inside then proceeded to several others before finally getting one,my son has had some one get in his 2011 mustang at a show for a photo op i went over and asked if it was their car they said no i told them to get the f--- out of it and respect others property[it was a man and his 14 yo daughter i got the stink eye too. Some folks have no care in the world for these cars or others property it's a damn shame it's illegal to shoot stupid folks.

My little boy Alexander is 5 and would never touch someones car without asking. He's a good boy and loves this hobby. MMG

I saw a couple of beer drinking men point out a 6 pack carb linkage on a show car (owner not around) and proceeded to cycle it a few times to watch how it worked. They must have cycled it 5-6 times watching the linkage move. I straight up asked them when they were going to start it. They spun around and looked at me with a half sober smile and shuffled away. I told the guy sitting behind the next car and he shook his head and told me the owner just walked away to take a leak.

My sons were raised around classic cars and hot rods they respect everyones property no matter what condition it is,i blame the parents for their kids disrespect, apple don't fall far from the tree.

I was really let down by this thread. I was expecting way more.

Like the time my step sister was drunk and pissed off at her sister so she went and sat in her sister's drivers seat and took a nice long pee.

It's not just kids and not just at car shows. When I was a D.I. at MCRD San Diego, I witnessed this kind of crap every Thursday and Friday. I can't tell you how many times I went into the parking lot and caught people sitting or leaning on my car and buddies cars. They were usually middle aged and over weight. Many of them got a small taste of what their son's had just listened to for 3 months.

youre a nicer guy than I am. I would have taken those 2 punks by the arm to security and unloaded on them.

people are stupid, lock the car......

Some people get nice and vomitus :vom: in the cars, or say just after a wet fart :fart:..they go sit in yer new cloth ....barf:pukeleft:

Some people just have that "kicked in the face one too many times as a child" look about them.
No amount of reasoning will even begin to register in their mind..

That's the main reason I don't show very often. To many Morons.

I know times have changed but I remember as a kid getting cuffed in the back of the head when your brain wasn't engaged. DISCIPLINE ,where did it go, they have no fear. NO FEAR=NO RESPECT

If someone did that with my car, i would make them take ''before'' and ''after'' photos.
(if you know what i mean)
Them and their smart *** smiles makes my blood boil.
Dorks.

It could have been worse I suppose, keyed, scratched ... stuff that people do when they are jealous.
When I walk away from my car I always have a spotter watching and when the spotter is not at his car I spot for him. Most of the time it's a friend but I have asked total strangers that have parked close to me to keep a look out.
It hasn't been to long someone posted items got stole off their car at a show but I couldn't remember what they were. I've got security bolts on my cuda gas cap cover.

Yeah he would ruin a good ear of corn! lol

He's a little heart breaker also.

To add insult to injury......they parked the Vipers next to the toilets?? Also, when was the last time they mowed that grass?
