Disturbed Duster

-
A little progress, decided to do a repair panel on the left apron. Rot at the fender flange and bad perforation where the fender tag sits. A little repair patch at the battery tray mount.

Don't give up!!! Keep going. You get really motivated when stuff starts coming together! :blob:

Been messing with the k frame too, just to do something different. I'll post a few of that shortly.

Nice work in the engine compartment...

Thanks, Its come a little ways from where I started. The firewall was loaded with chiseled holes where the po ran hot leads all over and a ton of self tappers holding stuff everywhere. Piddly time consuming work , but almost done. One of those things while you working on it gotta ask why lol. All got welded so no problems later.

A grind and skim

Nice! I should have skimmed the tops of my inner fenders. But I talked myself into leaving All the factory paint runs on the inner and the firewall....

K frame, skid plate, reinforced LCA points, steering box mount and welded seams.

Like the skid plate. Mine was definitly bumped and scraped in its previous life. I just banged out a few bent edges added a few welds where the factory welder heard the buzzer for coffee break...

Started on this yesterday, only indication was the leaded seam was a little wonky and a tiny rust hole at the fender mounting flange. Blew the lead out to find all 3 pieces rusted through just inside the flange and a bunch of debri packed in there. Fortunately its at the flange area and not down inside. Back to making parts one layer at a time. Cowl panel was rotting out under the lead. Lower piece in. Trying to rustproof and seam seal as I go along.
