DON’T BE FOOLED!

If you or someone on the board has a junk slant 6 head laying around, I can model something up on the computer that would get you to the point that a machine shop could make it. With modern 5 axis, I suspect I could do it from billet with no castings.
I have the perfect head to copy. This prototype closed chamber head.

I have a set, I got them without springs as I didn't know what camshaft id use. Just recently got my cam, and ill be assembling my bpe heads soon, and the short block soon after.

Cool you'll be very happy with them. Mine have been great.

Well, I can testify that I was the member here who bought the 1st set that Rod mentioned in his post. As I recall , I was the one pushing for the sale. Not him. And he had absolutely no problem making it right. He didn't have to........but he did.

I'm really pleased he has had great success with these heads. God knows us Mopar guys need more vendors like him.

Congrats BPE!

I contacted Rod about a year ago. After 1 phone conversation there would be no way I would not try a set of his heads. Every suggestion Rod made I went with. My car was definitely faster than the previous year with ported Edelbrock heads. I ran 6.97 98mph the previous year and with Rods heads I ran 6.67 just shy of 103mph I had an issue with my converter being way to tight at a 4200 stall. Everyone including the converter manufacturers placed me at 5600 stall. This small hiccup with be rectified next year with a new transmission and converter just waiting to go in the car as we speak. Rods attention to detail is second to none and he stands behind his product 100%. Vic with the AMX has been a huge help also. Always answers any questions I have.

1st off these are a badass head thanks to Rod for the great product. the motor is almost ready to come out. changing the flat tappet out for a bullet solid roller and having the vert loosened up and a ported super victor and if funds allow another thumper but in e-85. pretty confident i will see some 9.70's or even better. best to date 10.19 @132 and i gotta say im pretty happy with that. this car or should i say the driver is definitely not ment for bracket racing. i run a local series that runs on an unprepped air port run way. every year the competition gets harder and harder so we gotta stay ahead of the everyone elase and thanks to Rod we won our class.

I agree but everyone was bashing the Chinese heads for being junk now they change their tune and will be lining up to buy them.
The difference here is the SM heads you get bare or assembled are garbage out if the box and the ported ones here being discussed are super well thought out from years of experience trail and error.

I have spoke with many porters and machine shops about the OOTB SM head and 90+% don’t like it and trash it while laughing at the fools that spends more money to fix the junk. Porting work additional.

If you know what your doing with the head to begin with and work the head yourself, you can not only be ahead money wise but end up with an excellent performing head, IF you have the machines and know what your doing to the head when porting time comes.

What we have here is a fella taking a bare head and making it great. Not the OOTB complete head.

How some guys can take that OOTB SM head and think they are going to use it as is and run in the low 10’s is beyond me!
