Don't remember that story. DF said this year no one had ever been booted so not sure.

My memory says he lost a lifter and cam after day 3, but I don't have a great memory so who knows.
I think you are correct. I remember he had a couple videos on YouTube about his engine teardown after that. Search B3 Racing.

Edit to add video.

So I reached out thru a mutual friend, Trunket in 2022 forgot a bag of dirty laundry at the hotel in Indy, the hotel was kind enough to send it over with an employee. Someone videoed it and protested on the morning of day 5. Trunket was DQ’d over it.

However, since the DQ happened on day 5, which was then rained out, the rule book resorted back to the conclusion of day 4, prior to his DQ, therefore by rule, his previous averages were allowed back in, thus winning his class

People protest the stupidest ****, don't they? What a joke.

Local buddy is out. Something catastrophic happened in his Steve Morris motor. Go Mopar!!

I think it is a BBM, but not certain.

What happened?

Not sure, I was just looking at the Day 4 results and he didn't turn in a time for yesterday.

It sure seems like I saw him run yesterday, but I don't remember of he had issues or not.

If it’s leaving like a bucking bronco that may be the reason the shaft broke.
Stock shaft doesn’t help me either. it does leave hard and I’m still working on the rear suspension. I had my converter gone through and they’re supposed to increase the stall from 3400 to 4200 and but it flashes at 5200 so I will need to send it back in.

@A body could tell you exactly what you need to strengthen that 904 up as he runs low 9’s with his. I know the converter hubs are weak but that’s all I know about them.

I guess it is a big inch SBM that they modernized with stuff like EFI and coil near plug ignition.

Watch the video I posted when you get a chance. He goes into details. It was a large displacement small block Mopar in a Ritter block with Brett Miller cylinder heads based on Edelbrock Victor castings. Pretty kick *** combo.

A recently met friend bought a set of 2.02 valve Speedmaster heads from me. His girlfriend is racing for the first time this year and averaged 12.50’s for the week. They will be installing the Speedmaster heads this winter and I will be gasket matching their Edelbrock dual plane intake. She said she’s ready to go faster and hopefully this set of 290cfm heads get her there.

It's crazy, those steve Morris smx engines start at 75k dollars, and they fail quite regularly. But I guess that's to be expected pushing things to that extream. Way out of my league

My buddy has 2-one is the SMX billet block that’s in the 2010 Camaro. Also has a stock block one ( I believe) that’s in a 95 Camaro Pro Street. Tom Bailey doored him into the wall at the Woodward Drags last year. Tore that car up. That one is only 1200-1300 hp. LOL. Actually three-he has one on Facebook for sale that was in a Fox bodied Mustang he ran at Drag Week one year.

Definitely those top class cars are pro-level, not something I've ever been involved in.

There was even a Mopar A-Body that won the Eliminator bracket race. He said on FB when he got into Drag Week that he wouldn't even place in the class but was glad to be able to participate, and yet he won the elimination round. Glad for him.

I am pretty sure he's a member (@70DusterDev) here, too.
