friend of mine built a pump-gas 408 stroker for my Duster

pretty happy with the results

Basic Combo:

Mancini forged Eagle crank 360 internally balanced stroker kit
RHS/Indy iron X-heads - prepped by IMM engines, (basic $1395.00 package - see info at http://www.immengines.com/rhsheads.html )

compression 10:1

Hughes solid cam - sorry not 100% positive which one - I think it's HUG HTL4852AS (Intake .563/Exh .572 w 1.5 ratio, 248/252 duration)

old mopar iron rockers

Proform/Holley 750 carb - with 1" super sucker spacer

MP performance disti - locked at 37.5 degrees

Kevco 6qt pan, Holley strip dominator single plane intake

91 octane pump gas

best run - 503hp @5500, 520lbs @4700

Bolting it to a 4-speed :burnout:

Nice running engine there.

You'll love that torque.

Wow, 500 hp at only 5,500 rpm--sounds like it needs more cam, lol

Then again best to keep the revs down on the stroker but heck you got a forged crank..that little duster is going to be a weapon.

Nice build and solid numbers. Did you happen to pull it with less timing or a larger carb at all? I think there's more in it.

We played with timing/jets/spacers but left the carb

You're probably right, but 500/500 (as cheap as possible) was the goal

Rad!

Nice, we need 1/4 time.

Yep, now it needs a nice 9 or 10 inch converter, a hd rear axle, I go 3.55 or 3.23 depending on tires and use, for long freeway runs 3.23 and frame connectors.

I hope it has it or the budget allows it.

He let on that it'll be a 4 speed....
