George Jets
As in George Jetson, but really just needed a user name quick so I could get in here past the gate and start buying parts on FABO.

Used George Jets in my computer service business, so I through it down quick so I could go after buying a front Sway Bar for Brian's Duster. That's a whole story in itself and here we are, all worked out fine.

Never would have stumbled across this crowd had it not been for going after that front sway bar.

Local guy Shaun now owns my old gray '67, he is continuing on doing good things to it.

...
Grandma was old-school and believed in the authority of a name and she would get so mad when he called me that....
Dejavu, my Grandmother would get mad at him too! So weird...must have been an Old World thing.

Nothing tricky here...I have 2 Demons. A 71 Green Go Demon 340 and a "run of the mill" 72 Demon that has been a race car its entire life. Bought the 71 in 1984 and the 72 in 2019 as a roller.

I owned a Mustang Mach1 and joined several Mustang forums as "machmeter1". A machmeter is actually a speedometer, but instead of telling the miles or kilometers per hour, it shows the true airspeed to the speed of sound. Ironically, I never owed a really fast car. I am a cruiser...

JD are my first and middle initials (Jackson Dewain) and the rest is self explanatory. We got our first computer in 97, not long after Al Gore invented the internet  and I had to come up with an e mail address. JDMopar it was! Wasn't a few weeks later, I found Moparts.com and have been there as JDMopar ever since. I've used that name on every site I joined.....even a Pontiac site. Like somebody else said several posts back, I hate change, and don't want to have to remember who I am at whatever!

I dont need to explain mine. Well, i dont think so anyway.
I like buying tools. And have started collecting a few old tools and i welded them to my truck.
I have weaned myself away from the snap-on truck, explaining im on the downslope towards retirement, but in reality i want to spend money on my rides.

Mine is pretty straightforward. Everyone used to call me “D” at the company I worked for before my daughter was born (my first name is Dave and my last name starts with the letter D also).

After she was born, they all started calling me D-daddy.

It just stuck.

I bought my car in 1978 when I was a bone skinny teenager. Things were different back then bullying wasn't calling someone fat on the internet if you wanted to hang out with the rough boys you either learn how to take care of yourself or you probably shouldn't come around. So me and my 340 swinger navigated the times the best we could and surprised a lot of bullies.

In the 90s, guys on the construction site would sometimes call each other "Dog".
My last name is Kern.
Kern Dog sounds a bit like Corn Dog.
Simple, elegant, appropriate......

My nickname for years. Pretty self explanatory, I guess. Could have been Bug Man, as that was my CB handle back in the mudding days. I had an 84 W150 on 39.5 Super Swampers but also had a 1963 VW Baja Bug at the time.

I'm sure this has been done before, but a lot of new members so..... I'll go first.

My daughter first bought our 72 Scamp about 12 years ago. Her ambitious plans called for a 426 Hemi with a tubbed out back half and a Dana rear end. She got in a little over her head so I ended up buying it from her. We named it Rhonda because my wife liked the rumble from the engine so she started walking around saying Rhhonndda, Rhhoonnda like she was revving an engine, lol. So, Scamp Rhonda was born.

After retiring I knew I wanted a 66 Valiant so I went on the hunt till I found a good one. When driving it, people would ask what it was. Of course, I'd tell them it was a Valiant. "Huh? What's a Valiant" was the response all too often. I finally settled on an explanation, asking if they knew what a 66 Barracuda was. Of course, they answer. Well, a 66 Valiant is the same car from the doors forward. That makes it a halfafish. :D
