Father-Son 1974 Duster Project

Now if you'd have bought a big garage to start with and then added on a house to it, - you'd already have Misty ready to be tinkered with.

BTW, Garage is looking good!

Looks great....little tree going to need to go. Lol
Going to transplant it when I have the backhoe on site.
Working with wood is so much more natural to me than wrenching, but I love them both.
I have moved onto a new field for work now, but I will be forever grateful to my dad and grandfather for bringing me along and letting me learn this trade...

That is awesome. My dad did the same with masonry and welding. I was too young to catch the plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. He built damn near our whole house himself from concrete to shingles. He was a terrible farmer though....

Master suite ceiling done! The gable rafters facing forward are the outline of the roofline for the new garage for Misty. Can't build it until I pour concrete and lay block. That master bedroom is a priority!

Look like your going to have doors going into your garage from the master bed room. Misty will never be far away LOL.

I could have a Firemans Pole that I can take from the sitting area of the bedroom into Misty's garage!!!
My wife would love that, and the paint fumes would come right up too....:D

yeh, I could see the pole in bedroom thing getting a negative response regardless where the bottom of it goes...

I learned a few things this weekend:
1. I am too old to tear off roof shingles and sheathing and replace them with new, but I did it anyway.

2. If your old Porter Cable nail gun slides off the roof and bursts when it hits the patio, buy one of these 21 degree knock offs from Harbor Frieght. They are great tools no matter what the price ($85)

3. When you buy replacement side marker lights for your Duster, they dont come with the retaining nuts! I'll need to find some.

4. The number font on these Bosch gauges match the stock cluster font really well and the red of the Bosch logo matches my E5 paint, so they are going into my in dash gauge cutouts.

5. This fan does not look like the picture in the Jegs catalog, wonder if it will work OK?

Lol. No pole. Install a lift that pushes the car into the sitting area and faces the TV. In home "drive in" movie.

Check your local NAPA store for the nuts for the marker lights.
My local NAPA stocks them.

And here is our girl safe and sound from all the work going on at home. we miss her

Looks like you've got mothballs around the car. Good idea. They seemed to have worked for us. We were hesitant to put some inside our vehicles because of the smell but it didn't take long before they aired out. We even put one in the end of each tail pipe.

My son and I ran up the block frost wall for our garage expansion on Saturday. This is sorta car related :)
