Father-Son 1974 Duster Project

Your car looks great. It looks so much more together than mine. I jump around too much.

Thanks. Mine got a few flaws. Its a barn paint job. But wet sanding it should help some. I found a new windshield for 230 shipped.

Post some good pictures of the clips for me
Shoot, sorry man I put the glass in tonight

Nothing like 43 year old glass to match the rest of the car!
I'll
Do the lock strip when the lock strip tool arrives from amazon

So here's a question. Does this abs headliner tuck under the front and back window gasket like the cardboard originals did? Seams like this one wants to butt up agains the edge of the back gasket and lay over the front gasket.
Anyone have experience with one of these?

Nothing like going down in flames! That looks a little crazy. Mine was really only a backfire screenshot from a video my kid shot. Hope nothing is damaged on your car...

That piece of glass looks pretty clear, most get cloudy around the edges with age.

Been putting fixing this grille mounting tab off since I got the grille 5+ years ago!
Still need to file it down and paint it but it's going to work and look acceptable.

All of the money you saved doing the work yourself on your car, you just spent on Trex.....lol. That stuff is the mac daddy in decking! Looks nice.
lol
I get that stuff at a good price. If I paid someone to do what I did on the car I could build 20 decks like this.
Going to use Azek Kona rail system. It's the least I can do for my family who tolerate my exploding, fireballing love affair with Misty....

I love that decking. Just curious....the board by the glass, that's turned perpendicular to the rest of the decking boards....are you going to miter the corner of it with the last board? And also do it on the other end of the deck? I've seen a lot of people leave the ends exposed, and the rippled bottoms drive me nuts....lol. I've often wondered how building a band around a deck to hide the ends would look, but I may be guessing wrong as to what you're doing. Post another pic when the deck is finished. I'm sure it will look great.

Only a Neanderthal would leave a cut off end exposed. Some people call it picture frame when the field decking is sourounded by another board (you buy boards with no grooves for the hideaway fastener) but it's technically called nosing.
Here is a pic from when I was building my front porch last winter. If you look closely, you can see the nosing on the outer perimeter and the field boards butt to it. No exposed cut ends!
On the deck, I like to let the ends run wild and cut the miter in place when I know where a full field board will end so there is no rip....

So the 2 headlight regaining rings That came in the boxes of crap in the trunk of my car when I got it do not align with the adjusters or the spring on the bucket. Are they not for an anody or am I missing something?
