I pulled in the garage last nite and noticed a puddle under the car. It was power steering fluid.
It was leaking out of the cap. I don't think it was overfilled. Has anyone else had this problem?
Any advice? Thanks FABO.

The gasket under the cap needs a new one. Probably have to make one.

I have a federal pump with a “vented cap” and I am always cleaning up fluid leaking or misting out of the cap. It is the original cap from 1973. If I overfill it will definitely be found on the floor after a cruise. I have been just slightly under filling like just below the bottom line on stick to prevent spills but will still mist out of the vent though. I plan on going to a Saginaw pump soon

You should be able to run the car with the cap off and no fluid spill. It sounds like either it is over filled or it has air in the system. It should be filled when completely warmed up to operating temp. If you fill it cold, it will be over filled and do exactly what you are describing.
