Awesome. The old single post lifts would seep down with heavy vehicals. U need to change the seal on top. Mii ok stay from dirt and grime getting into it from washing the floor Bbm kim

Yes it’s been a lot of work so far, but also a lot of fun! Even growing up with the car, and did not realize a lot of things. I’m pretty sure my dad would be happy with how it is going!

I know lol but finding a good one, is not that easy!! Lol

Wow, what an amazing story! I just read the thread from the start and all I can think is WOW! You are dong right by both the car and your dad, congratulations on carrying on a part of your family history.

Small update. Original 50 year old bumper back on. Not perfect bet pretty nice! Original grille , trunk lid back on. You know u have good friends when your body guy puts his new car cover for his 68 numbers matching 340 dart, on your car so nothing happens lol

Mike,
That thing is looking sweet! can't wait to see the finished car.

My friend and I were talking about car. I mentioned those are the original headlights. He wondered if they had ever been turned on . If they were it would have only been a handful of times. Lol

Small update side marker lights pen star! Hood should be on later this week!

Thank you! I keep waiting for someone to comment on eye ball dust cloud not being correct! I like this stripe better and I’m paying the bill! Lol

Hey Mike that's the wrong stripe. It doesn't get the "Eye ball dust cloud" Unless it takes a orange air cleaner. So you won't be needing one now?

Steve I appreciate your opinion! I broke down and bought an air cleaner from a local guy. I am still going to need lots of stuff and I’m sure I will be back down with Bill this winter! You know I want to see the progress on that Demon! FYI I have the correct stripe just in case! Lol

Great to see the progress! What an awesome car and story, I was glad I had the chance to see it in person before you got started, can't wait to see it when it is done!

Yes Jim I'm glad you got to see it! Your opinion went a long way in my decision of what to do with the car! I ended up painting more than we thought, because of the lettering that had shadows in the original paint. We did not touch the original instrument cluster. With the car only having 462 miles I wanted to leave that untouched! I cant believe even growing up with the car, how much I did not know! It's been fun and sometimes frustrating, but it will all be worth it, when it's finished! I'm already dreading when I have to go to the DMV to register it for the first time, and when the speedometer goes to 500 miles! LOL
