Finally the 66 Dart is here!!

-
Yesterday I went to the wrecking yard in search for a new aluminum cooling system/tranny cooler.I ended up pulling this from a 200? Audi V6,it,s all together in one piece(grabbed the mounts also)I may have to do some rigging it in but will make it work for the $75 I paid.I,ll be turning the condenser into my tranny cooler and hooking the fans up to a relay. The car is coming along good, batterybox in drunk is done, also new 3/8 fuel line. Here,s pics of the cooling system.Hmm?Won,t let me load pics?I,ll try later.

You sure are moving along Scott!! Sorry to hear you had to open up your work to make more room for your oil pan but it is dun right now:cheers:
I will put my thinking cap on about your master cylinder :read2:
I bet there is a smaller one that might do the job for you if you can get the rod from your brake peddle to work 8) But the way you are moving along you can figure something out :happy10: even if you can find one that the lines run on the other side :read2:
Fuel rate at 120gph. That's a bunch of gas =P~ You have this 66 by the balls bud
Looking GERRRRRate!!!

Good ole hotrodding at it's best. Pulling a rad from an Audi???!! and making it fit is very cool and waaaay less money than buying a new one.

Very cool petty!8)

Sounds like a plan. I wired my electric fans to a relay with the thermcouple mounted inside of the fan shroud against the radiator. Now the fan will run even after the car is shut down like a modern car. It is looking good pettybludart.

Lol! I saw the pics on the other page so it's a moot point but thanks anyways, lol:profilel:

Did you wander round with tape measure in hand until you found one "close enough"?

Yes Needaresto,I brought the tape measure til I found the right length and depth.Well,I basically have it in the car.I still have to hook up a relay and mount the condeser/tranny cooler on the front side(was to thick all together)I had to trim the lip on the frame at the front, but the mounting brackets for the side of the rad fit perfect(sitting ontop of the frame)I don,t think I,ll be having any overheating problems.8)

Hey Petty that looks like it was made for the car! What a good score..

Looks like your moving right along Scott. Have you looked at the Mopar perf. master cylinders? Their just like the ones used on newer Dodge trucks (92 and up?). I know the bodies are made smaller than the one you have so that'd give you a little more room. Not sure how much diff. the lines would be though. Maybe if you get out to the scrap yard again look for one and compare.

batterybox in drunk is done,

Don't get caught like that man. They'll hang ya. LOL

Their just 2 post so you'd need an adapter which they sell or you can make and I was just pulling your leg on the typo. :toothy10::toothy10::toothy10:

I,m gonna get the 4 post to 2 post adapter from Summit and get the late model master cylinder.Hey?Where,s Vic Storm(Tony)?Hope all is well in the new home Tony?

Sure no problem about the rim. Give me a time and day and I'll be there. Friday or the weekend would be great. Even Wednes day or Thursday night. As far as parts I'll see whatca got. Thanks and see you soon.

The radiator looks good in there. Bet you have plenty of CFM to keep that beast cool.

My M/T valve covers just showed up from Leanna(PCS)they look awesome! They will fit in with the old skool look I,m going for.Time to sell the MP ones.Woody gives a thumbs up!LOL
