Probably a long shot here, but I am looking for a sanding block. I've spent hours and weeks trying to find another one like this to no avail.

I have most of the Dura Blocks, Black Diamonds, Acrylics, but this one is my favorite.

There is no part number/s, model, or brand name on it anywhere. It also has no adjustment rods, or the provision for adjustment rods.

It has a sheet metal bottom for the PSA paper to stick to.

It's probably a cheap Chinese model, but it's my favorite of all that I have and it's starting to breakdown on the ends.

I am only interested in finding an exact one like in the photos.

Hoping someone on here might have one like it available.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom, this is just a suggestion. I don't know a dang thing about the technology, but I wonder of somebody couldn't 3D print you one based off that one?

I may have one, I will look when I return to work Thursday

That would be absolutely fabulous if you do.

I suppose anything is possible , but this block is some type of foam rubber and only the printers that are mega dollars can do that type of work.

Easier to just keep looking than spend thousands trying to create one that way. Building a mold and playing around with two part foam mixes might yield a result, but I don't yhe time or

desire for that type of project currently.

Looked everywhere but no luck, found a lot of stuff I had forgot about. Found an eight and a twelve if those would do you any good

Here is what I use for getting bodywork straight.

Uses the long and skinny 180/80/36 grit sandpaper.

24 bucks on ebay, my favorite tool for getting things straight.

17" x 2 3/4" ^^^

Built with a steel body and a hardwood handle, the sander also includes a rubber pad that conforms to contours so you get contact on your entire workpiece while you sand.

Here is a 16" for the PSA sand paper.

47 bucks > ebay.

May sound odd, but we roll up Hot Rod magazines and wrap them diagonally with 3/4" masking tape.

Then use this as a tool with long and skinny sandpaper to sand concave areas that you want to get straight, just enough flex.

Like the top of the mopar doors and quarters.

I have just about all the Dura Blocks, all of the Black Diamond blocks, the full set of Linear blocks, several wooden blocks, and many other foam/ rubber blocks.

All told I probably have $1500 worth of blocks or more and my favorite for contours from the roof panel to the B pillar is the pink rubber block I am trying to find.

I have spent 6 month religiously looking at Facebook Marketplace ads all over the country, countless internet sites, eBay daily, I am constantly looking.

I appreciate all the suggestions, but all I want is another pink rubber one like I have posted above.

Thanks,
Tom

I am not trying to be a prick or anything but as much as you have talked this unicorn up, I don't think I would give it up if I had one.

The block that George Jets showed looks pretty close to what you are after,

Maybe give it a try until you find that pony.

The one George Jets is suggesting is a rigid block. If you read my ad above you''ll see I am after a flexible block.

Also for what it's worth the block he suggested looks just like a Dura Block knock off.

It really pains me that I can't run a wanted ad on this forum without it turning into a discussion, so I'll just close the ad and hope I find one else where.
