Ford Dealer Offers New 727 HP Supercharged Mustang For Under 40K

-
The sucky part is Mopar does not have brains enough to offer the car like that.

Chrysler does offer a base V8 R/Tchallenger, i just told ya that in my last post. The article about the mustang is that its a base GT that the (dealer) is adding a roush supercharger to and honoring the warranty. This has nothing to do with FoMoCo

All you need is a dodge dealer willing to do the same thing using a base R/T 5.7 6 speed car, and honor the warranty.

Horsepower wars! I love it.

I hav
Whats a base challenger R/T 5.7 go for these days? I just checked. Its $31,995 plus TT&L. Not too bad in todays inflationary dollars. The problem is they offer up different tasty trim levels like the R/T plus, and shaker. It makes it hard not to want to check off the box for the higher trim level. I think A/C power door locks, power windows, power brakes and power steering is pretty much standard these days. But if you can resist the temptation and can stay with the R/T base, and a 6 speed, just order one up with no extras, and go buy ya a supercharger kit for it, gut it with a claw hammer, and fill a dumpster if you want less weight. Sucky part is doing it this way and voiding your warranty.

i sorta invisioned what you are saying BUT with an older used one ( thinking $$$ here). . I would do it with a Stand ( OK, its blasfamy), simply because of the abundance of used ones and what the price diff would probably be. take one , gut it, get rid of everything not wanted, start with AC!, make it a modern hotrod, daily driver when you don't want to drive the old mopars!!!!!!

$31000 for a base 5.7 RT Challenger may not be bad with todays inflation, BUT for retired poor guys like me, my income has NO inflation added to it. some call it "poverty" level!!!!!!! great for younger guys with good income. Ha

Had a customer with a 2016 Roush in the other day on the second engine and it is knocking.......:wtf:

O K so I will stay away from Ford!!!!!! ha! but what did the guy do to it!!!!!! I,m old, wore out and just pussyfoot drive!!!!! ha
Not much telling and who knows what he's been using for fuel. I'm just wondering how long that blown Ford holds up beside the Hellcat in a longevity test. I'm thinking it is a pretty short fuse on the Ford......

in Tulsa, they try to get rich on every deal here - supreme greed !

I remember seeing a new 2000 Mustang Cobra R at a dealership in Dallas Tx, I don't remember what the MSRP was listed at, but a bidding war had basically started over the thing at the current "price" was over $70k. The dealer had taped a sheet of paper to the bottom of the build sheet, and just kept crossing off the price and listing the current offer with a marker...

No radio, no A/C, no backseat, 5-point harness, roll cage, etc...It was impressive, but I was on a Ford Focus budget at the time..

Im wondering if the stock transmission, clutch, rearend, ect will hold up to the 700 + HP. Isn't the Hellcat beefed up in those areas to handle the extra HP?

Mopar offers the stupid "body in white". How much is that again?

Guess its time for another triple R pissing contest again. I was comparing apples to apples. However ya can lead a horse to water, but ya cant make him drink it

I'm done

No need to stay away from Ford..they're still putting out some of the best vehicles you can buy,a blown engine no biggy(thats what warrantees are for) i'm sure the other makers are blowing up left and right too..everything in my driveway is Ford..duster gets the garage..

Not at all. The fact is, you cannot compare AT ALL since Mopar offers nothing like that. Nothing. Yes, you can get the bas model car you talked about. Yes you can add your own blower. There is NO dealer anywhere offering up a Mopar on the scale of that Mustang. Period. That dealer is offering a turnkey supercharged Mustang for 40K. Warranty and all. Mopar has nothing even close. So there IS no comparison. There is also NO pissing contest.

Yes the dealer is offering a turn key supercharged mustang. A GT base that the dealer adds a supercharger to and warranties. This isnt a ford factory thing, its a dealer offered thing.

Maybe there will be a dodge dealer somewhere offering the same thing soon. So thats not really a mopar thing, its a when will a dodge dealer get enough sense to do a grand spaulding dodge thing and sell supercharged 5.7 challengers cheap. Until then buy your own, drive until the warranties up, then add your own blower.

Who said it was Ford? I clearly said it is a dealer offering. Now who is pissing just to piss. Shut the hell up stupid. You said you were done. Prove it.

You two realize you're saying the same thing right? That ford offers it and mopar should. You're just saying it a different way.

Yeah but my way is right.

No offense taken. I go by past history. Not worth arguing with ya. Especially over a vehicle neither of us is probably gonna buy anyways.

I was thinkin there was no since in arguin too. Cause you're wrong. LMAO.

I`ve been saying for years, they need to " remember the road runner!"

I would absolutely LOVE a modern, EFI car with ZERO power accessories. No P/S, P/B, A/C, P/W.....nuthin. Nuthin but modern motor, drive train and brakes. Stripped down and light as can be. They could even do the plain steel wheel thing with chrome lug nuts. Wouldn't that be cool? I KNOW I am not the only one.

That would be great if they could. The new cars are getting too complicated for the sake of being complicated. Heres the effed up thing though, even base models have electric windows and electric locks as std equipment now. When i bought my DD back in 08 a chevy hhr the window sticker showed no extra options it was a base LS 5 speed with 2.2. It still had power windows, brakes, locks, A/C and power steering.

I am not sure that power windows and power locks these days add that much weight anymore, and my HHR has electric assist power steering, so that saves some draw off the engine.

But yeah, a stripper coupe would be nice if it could be done. I dont think they will though, most people want all the amenities, and convienences. They are used to it.

I remember ( yes I actually can) back to the 60's, and I was always told the car companies wanted to sell the "loaded" cars, that was where the bigger profits were. way better to sell a loaded 69 GTS than a Runner. instead of talking thousands $ profit like today, it was just hundreds, BUT a $100 back then was some real cash!!!!! do the car co. want to sell a high performance stripper? I doubt it.
it would take a dealer like Mr. Norms no doubt to do that sorta thing. a true gear head type owner, that could set the mechanicals up and eat the warranty losses??? are there any out there????? interesting..

who cares?
it comes with factory wah-ran-tee
