Found a Source for 10” rear drums with 1-3/4” shoe

If those drums are in high demand again, it's our fault. Rumor has it that 800 of those drums were on that Chinese balloon, but we shot it down.

Lol, that's what led to the deep sea gold Discovery documentaries.

I did some digging.

123.63044, Centric has it listed for 64 - 69 Barracuda

They have it also listed as 65-66, 71-72 Dart and 70-72 Duster.

So when at the parts store if you don't have the number just go with 69 barracuda

Yeah, that's the part number — the problem is it has been out of stock everywhere. Though I haven't checked over the last month.

This company has them listed. Pretty pricy but if you need them. Would suggest you call to verify I called them awhile back, but I don't remember whether for front or back. Their website said "in stock" but they weren't.
NOT IN STOCK

Centrics website says they have them in stock.

I ordered 2 from summit a few days ago.

I'm not holding my breath on a delivery for after June 29.

There is a part of me that thinks centric gathers orders and when they have received some number of orders then they have them manufactured. Then lucky people who just happen to place an order while there actually in stock get them rather than the people who had actually placed an order and got the back ordered notice

If they would ever do their research and realize how many cars actually use this part, they would run a batch of 10,000.... but, no.... It's idiotic that you can't get these, but you can get 9" front drums, which nobody wants... (just venting)

And the part number goes back to a " brake best part number.

Both inner boxes had their tape cut, so it looks like some SOB bought these from Summit and returned O'Riley 9 inch drums

I called their customer service and at least I won't get charged a return fee.

So now they are on back order AGAIN.

BUT..

There is hope, the first guy I talked to said they have an open PO with centric to buy more and I am on that PO for sure.

Fingers crossed.

Man, that is just wrong! I worked at Circuit City many moons ago and a guy returned a higher end Sony receiver. I opened the 'sealed' box and it was a cinder block. I looked back at him and he very agitated now and was yelling "it was a gift!". I suggest you take this back to the person that 'gave it to you' then....

Woooohoooo!

I got my drums today.

And they are correct!

Here is the skinny as of right now.

Summit has some number of them in their Georgia warehouse.

They are not in their system for some reason.

Georgia is a non return to facility so everything they have there is right from the manufacturer.

They have a PO for more ( the June 9 or was it July) delivery shipment.

If you order any they come from the closest distribution warehouse.

In my case Texas.

If you desperately need some I would call the Georgia warehouse, give them the part number, and request they be shipped from Georgia. Mention the mis-boxed issue I had.

And good luck.

I'm going out to buy a lottery ticket

Summit has a estimated ship date at the end of the month. That is the fourth time they have changed the ship date to the end of whatever month it has been.
Yup they do that a few times then drop your order cancel it...not saying don't try though...:)

Anybody order any of these recently? I've gotten a pair from both Rock Auto and Summit and all 4 looked like they were for a 6 lug half-ton truck.

I bought mine a year ago still haven't put them on the car they "look right" though...just not like the German helmet style...

FYI - Dr Diff sells the Centric drums re-drilled for 4.5” bolt circle. Not listed on his site - need to email him.
