Fuse box on early ‘65 Dart

Since M&H does not make ‘63 harnesses and the ‘64 was out of stock everywhere I opted to update the wiring in the ‘63 with new ‘65 harnesses. It looks like the fuse box is on the LH side of the steering wheel based on the harness. Is that correct and does someone have a good photo?

On a 65 it should be right of the column, mounted in the vicinity of the ash tray.

I will comment on the 65 harness as it, in conjunction with the 65 engine harness, eliminates major problems at the firewall junction block. The wiring from the alternator and the one coming back out does not go through terminals but a solid buss bar. These 2 buss bars are permanently connected to the wiring that goes to the ammeter and back out to the engine compartment.

Exactly one reason why I went that direction. The '63 is the exact same way but with different style connectors I now see. The '65 moved to the connectors used in later years. The '64 did not have the bus bars and were backordered from M&H (Year One) so that was two strike against them. True '63 harnesses are not available from M&H (Year One). The '65 will have a more correct look with the bus bars under the hood. Moving the fuse box from left to right will only be noticeable to me.
 
yes, I’ve heard that the 63 used the buss bars. I know they went to terminals in 64 and back to the bars in 65. I guess it was cheaper to use terminals after 65 (with their electrical issue of high current).
 
I was under the dash of my 65 Dart yesterday and noticed my fuse box just hanging in mid air on the left of the steering column., I wondered at that time where and how it's supposed to be mounted.
 
There’s a small bracket that the box is secured to.
