i found them as low as $150.00 shipped online, but my local FFL transfer would add $45 to that, putting it in the $200 range
one of my local gun shops (though not my favorite) has em in stock for $187.49
Turkish made, so it probably is a decent shotgun at the price point. It has limited capacity and some of these do not shoot slugs.
I went with a Maverick 88, made by Mossberg. Holds 7+1, pump action, will shoot slugs. Price point a little bit more at 230.00 new..

I need to look into that maverick. I was looking for an 16-18" barrel for the 870 I already have and couldn't find anything under $200 a few months ago. Even old take off barrels I could cut down are expensive these days.

Maverick is also made in Turkey, I've sold@20-30 G forces guys seem to like them, no issues

I had one for about an hour. Not impressed. The safety had enough "slop" that it could easily be dislodged and fire before it was clear of the detent. When cycling the thing, if you had the barrel depressed, it would jam. The one good thing is the quick easy breakdown, "if that's your thing"

I sell over 2000 weapons a year, every manufacturer will occasionally have an issue with there product, nothing is perfect, but I can tell you that mechanically most all pump shotguns are very similar in design. I had a brand new Browning Citori in the other day and would not fire the bottom barrel, it's a $2000 shotgun.

I own a pardner shotgun (Chinese 870 clone ) with a 28 inch barrel and it is the best shotgun I ever fired
Never a failure of any kind, and dead accurate
I tried finding an 18.5 inch barrel for it, but they aren't to be had anymore
And in the off chance I do find one, this whole gun will be cheaper

I'm not a big shotgun guy (prefer pistols), but I do own the two most common
ones (Mossy 500 and Remington 870). Kinda like the Ford and Chevy of shotguns, if you will...
Remington is all tactical looking and I run military surplus double-ought out of it; the Mossberg is for sluggin' (it even looks like Jed Clampetts' gun)!
comparing those two, the Mossberg is a nicer shooter by quite a bit, but they both run without fail.
I would LOVE to get one of them thar fancy Italian semi-auto's, though!
Huh? I thought they were made in Eagle Pass Texas. A lot of the parts for them are made in Mexico.

Now that's what I'm talking about!
My first defensive shotgun class. Slugs. Not sure what distance. I don’t remember why slugs in defensive shotgun but I was happy with the results. 5 rounds in 2 holes
