It's $2.79 a gallon for the cheap stuff here in San Fran. Calif. It cost me over $100.00 a week to drive up here for work. That's only 260 miles one way. Thank God the company paid for the hotel rooms.

Currently, here in western Canada, it is $1.159/liter, thats $5.22/gallon for premium. Something I noticed this weekend though, is that VP C12 is the same now as it was last fall. I'm not complaining, but how come no price increase for it?

"Far, Far" Western Canada (Island), Up this week to $109.9 Liter - about $5.15 Gal.
Suppose to go to $1.20 by summers end :angryfir: (what demand...) Oh yah, TAX Demand :cwm21:

it realy sucks when the price goes up i could take it that the petrol was more expensive if it was better but then i would buy racegas and that price seems pretty stable..
going to fuel up my duster tonight and go to a meeting on the other side of stockholm and see if i find chripa (another swedish FABO member)there..

Mopar4ever:

I think your numbers are out a little for $1.159/litre = $4.38Cnd /us gallon then converting to US dollars is $3.51US per US gallon (still expensive). I think you used canadian dollars and imperial gallons instead of us dollars and us gallons.

You should move to Alberta (I did), gas is cheaper(<1.00litre for premium), no pst, and lower personal income tax, oh yeah als the goverment actually encourages business here too.

duster340. So the metric system is bad? us gallons, imperial gallons, at least a litre is the same everywhere. I am surprised you don't like it being from Sweden, All the Swedes that I know can't understand why we continue with the imperial system. Its too bad the imperial system has so many deep roots here (and in the US) as the metric sytem is so much simpler. But I guess it is what you know and what you work with, it is difficult to change something like that.

Well guy's. It is a shock to fill up here to. It hit $3.52 US for a U.S. Gallon today for regular. That is 87 octane around here.

It was almost $102 Can to fill the truck this morning.

i work with bending exhaust pipes for american cars trucks and vans and i am used to measuring everyting in inches just feel more comfortable with that, but i think the metric system is easier when you have to measure something that has realy tight presicion like clearances in a gearbox or something like that but for less tight tolerances i like inches and here comes something that is a real horrorshow in mixd measuring styles, a tire size may be 275/60 15 if you brake that down a litle you first have a big number in millimeters that isnt as acurat for public understanding as a millimeter measure should be then you have a % measure of the first millemeter number that makes the height based on the widenes and last there is a inch measure..
this is nothing personal against anyone its jsut my opinion about a messed up mesuring system that is not realy needed for most aplication, never thougt about diferent styles of measuring in the same system so i fully understand your point of wiew but
can you imagine going tho the mufflerchop and ask for a 76.2 millimimeter diameter system when all you need is a 3" system? :dontknow:

Yeah, tire sizes are a mess but it is better than the old letter system G60-15 etc. What part of sweden are you from. I work with two guys from sweden (both into cars). I was surprised at the amount of interest in sweden regarding mopars (and other "north american cars". One of the swedes owns a 69 coronet convertible (still in sweden) and his family has other mopars there too.

ok this measuring system is a litle beter for the tires than the old one but its still not good..
i am from the stockholm its the capital of sweden its located on the east coast
yea there is a intreset in these cars and i realy like it!
here is a link to some picures from a pretty big car show here in stockholm

would love to have a B Body convertible but the prices are ridicules for those
ok what do you work with? where in sweden are they from?

People used to make fun of my saturn (0-60 in 4.5 tries). All of a sudden the fact that it gets 40+ MPG suddenly makes it "cool". What's next; hip hybreds?

I think if gas prices don't slow down soon "they" (the goverment) will have to bring back the (Purple gas checkers)..Lots of dudes are getting really pissed just due to the high price jumping and too often. Could save on all the highway fuel taxes. Most of the inland Canadian boys know what I'm talkin about. It would just really suck getting caught.

I laugh at all these knobs who bought Hummer's & Excursions just to be trendy! :evil4:

I topped off my GTI last night in New Jersey and it cost me $30. I can remember $30 being my fuel bill for a MONTH in my old VW's.... :sad3:

Last week the ordinary gas (87 octane) was 1.14$/liter !!! went down a little bit since (around 1.07$, but will rise up again for sure)...And that's for 87 octane, i'm glad that none of my vehicule required 94 octane (i think it's aoround 1,24$)

Sure glad we got a Tercel for the short city trip ...

just decided to pay some more for pumpgas, shell has startet to sell 99octane instead of the "old" 98octane *big smile*

I have to put premium (93+ octane) in my 3 Lincolns - thats well over $3 a gallon here! Ouch!

I dont get it. We took over a country that has alot of oil.... Shouldn't the price go down?
