GEN 3 Qtr stats list

-
I need to get mine out again after putting on the new rear springs and correct shocks. First runs I did on it still had air shocks and the F body springs and isolator boxes. I think my best run was in the 14's, I'll have to dig out the time slips.

Did finally get it dyno'd though. It wasn't that bad all thing considered. I bet there's still 50 hp on the table if I want to tune for it, but I'm not trying to push any envelopes right now. Made right around 300 hp and torque at the tires on a pretty much stock engine with SRT Max Plus cam, headers, and ModMan set up for port injection.

Rat you can update my stats with 12.09/121/2.0 60ft
3670lb w/driver
2300ft elev
91 octane pump gas

Wow, nice! Would love to hear what rpm you shifted/crossed at and how you got that 8 3/4 to hold up. Transbrake? what was a typical 60' for you?

Shifted at 6500
Crossed the finishline at 6000
8 3\4 with spool and axles, back brace
And a billet main cap
3.23 gear powerglide with brake 5200 stall
Best 60ft was 1.21!

what was your low gear in the trans? max boost and heads used? i have a 1.80 glide 82mm billet turbo 5.7, eagle heads. pretty close combos

a small update:
6.1, holley 750 DP, 5 Speed Toyota Supra , 4.10, *** lbs - 12.76 @ 177.34 kph, 1.856sec 60ft, Wilhelmshaven, Germany ( july 2016 )

my Goal for 2017 is 11.99. More engine or shorter rear and using 4th gear for more Speed in the traps.
Max allowed for strreet legal cars is 12.00 in the series I am driving. from there a different class and bracket race. requires also SFI cage and such....

Well done Michael...getting there....but your 60 ft is killing you....Im betting its that short 1st gear in the 5 speed Supra box.

Also..could you post your trap speed in mph...makes it easier for the Mod who updates the list....

I make it 110.83 mph.

what do you mean with my 60ft is killing me? yes, the 1st gear is quite short. Have to shift somewhere at 60ft i guess. But it is not too bad for a car with absolut no weight reduction and full car hifi System :)

btw i broke my rear U-Joint on this second Event with Slicks ....

You know what I mean LOL!!

Every 1/10th you spend changing gear is 2/10ths off your ET.

Because there are more gear changes before half track...it hurts your ET even more.

The short first gear means a gear change in the 60ft which is less than ideal.

You need to be making more than average hp or run a lot less weight to run similar times to an auto with the same combo.

Not criticising mate.....just describing the negatives of a 5 speed stick shift box. :)

i don't feel criticised. I am thankful for every single tipp. I am thinking about a gear Ratio Change in the axle. Shorter means one more shift into the 4th. Longer means more speed in the traps but less good launches... and shifting is not a quick deal with those toyo trannies under load i can tell ya... :)

timeslip how they look like here...

A taller diff may not hurt - as you say..one less change.....and what you lose in the time / distance covered over the 60, you may pick up more at the top end...

Its one of those deals...is it worth the trouble or is there more hp still to be found elsewhere?

Swapped to a 200r4 from my 727, so I installed 4.10's... Picked up a bit so wanted to post it.

67 dart, 5.7 hemi with comp 268 cam, EFI, 200r4 with 2800 stall lock-up. 3420# with me. 12.99 @ 104 here in Denver at Bandimere.

Happy to see the 12's, hoping it's got a bit more!!

ghinmi - 1983 Jeep Cherokee - 5.7 w/vvt locked - Bullseye billet S366 on 3 psi - TR6060 - 3.64 - 4050 lbs - 12.31 @ 109 - US131 Motorsports Park

ghinmi - 1983 Jeep Cherokee - 5.7 w/vvt locked - Bullseye billet S366 on 6 psi - TR6060 - 3.64 - 4050 lbs - 11.46 @ 120 - US131 Motorsports Park

got my real weight w/ me and full tank : 3660lbs
still undecided about a new gear ratio grmpf... hm, if i go that short with 4.86 i probably don't use first gear anymore? means i stick with 2 times shifting behind the 60ft?

very small upgtrade:
6.1, holley 750 DP, 5 Speed Toyota Supra , 4.10, ~3600 lbs - 12.718 @ 176.47kph ( 109.65 mph), 1.857sec 60ft, Drachten, Netherlands ( september 2016 ) on MT Slicks with 16psi

I wish i would be able to shift faster but it is really not easy with the Toyota box. I could be in the low 12s for sure seeing my runs. But I lifted at least on tire left. lifted... there was space for a hair under the rubber hahaha ... That was cool. a bouncing front not that cool though.... Launched with 1500 rpm approx., street clutch. 12,75 sec was my average the whole day. kinda cool.

Finally got it out to the track after the transmission and rear suspension swap this past Friday. Conditions were nice and cool (around 60). Only engine mods are headers, ModMan, and SRT Max Plus cam running on MS2 Extra ECU with MSD ignition control. Best time of the night was a 13.61 @ 104. Scaled the car at work a few days before and it came in right around 3300 without me in it and I think a little under a half tank of fuel. Adding me and the half tank of fuel it was probably around 3500 pounds at the line.

matt your car has more in it for sure. still a manual tras car? leaves a lot of et on the table for sure. your car moves very well no doubt

Mods - Any chance of this being stickied? It had slipped back to the third page, and wont get updated if people can't see it. Pretty please???? :))
