Gen III Power Steering Pump -w/ Borgsen Box

-
I used a pump off a Durango for my rack and pinion. I don’t know what pressure the Borgsen is, but I had a few people like Mancini tell me it wouldn’t work on a rack. It’s been there over 9 years with no issues and I autocross cross in it. I have a truck motor so fitment is not an issue not sure of the car. What motor do you have.

Depending on which timing cover you have, car or truck, you can use the appropriate pump from that application. Now here's is where I could be off, I seem to remember that even the new Borgeson will not handle the high pressure of those newer pumps. Bouchillon has a special pump, for like almost 500 bucks. Not ideal cost wise. I also seem to remember reading here or moparts about someone using an inline type of pressure restrictor.

Attempting to source a power steering pump for the Gen III swap. You read a lot of threads, however you really get the final solution. I would like to use a Borgsen box. Question I have is which pump do you use and why? Is there a fitment issue, line issue, pressure issue or price issue?

You have the older Dakota type linked here.

and

The new Ram Type here.

Thank you, I have a 2012 truck motor but I changed the timing cover to passenger car. Based on that, I believe what I am reading is the Dakota pump will work fine with the Borgeson box.
