No. They have famous actors promoting this nonsense: Schwarzenegger, Dwayne Johnson, a bunch of people not considering the consequences their encouragement will cause a fleet of fools.
 
Let em go. Most of them have probably never been to the that area in the summer. Hope they bring a lot of sun tan lotion and several gallons of water. There is NOTHING there. Most will likely wind up back in Vegas where all good morons lose their paychecks.....

Fed gov leadership will dictate to base leadership ‘no intentional killing,’ but deadly force will be authorized.

Creech Air Force Base is in Indian Springs just 35 miles north of Vegas....It is home to bunch of Drones...I am sure these drones will be watching car traffic and foot traffic. One of the guys who worked for me went I worked at NDOT accidentally...LOL...walked onto a restricted area while hunting....they have listening devices planted out in the desert....couple of guards in 4x4 showed up...he got arrested ....rifle confiscated and fined....
 
Got escorted off China Lake Naval Weapons Center after entering from a remote desert road. Shore Patrol was very pleasant to us. They wouldn't let us leave the same way we came in so our excursion was about 90 miles longer than we had anticipated :rofl:

close...it was 30 miles north. The real deal came down at Corona 2 days later...if you believe that stuff. I met and talked to the son of General LeMay's personal pilot at that time. He said his Dad told him that Lemay told him (his Dad) in passing that he saw little men from the craft and 2 survived....weird stuff. Oh, and I have dealt with 'Deadly Force' as a member of a Marine Security Force. 2nd application: "Defense of Government property involving national security". Double fence perimeter around an unspecified bunker somewhere, I was told "Anyone gets inside that 2nd fence, shoot to kill. Empty the magazine..." Aye-aye sir!

I went into Air Force recruiting in 1993. This old WWII vet came into the office regularly to chat. Said he rode on an airplane with General Spaatz (could have been a Colonel then).

I told him we studied about General Spaatz and General LeMay and took tests every year about the history of the Air Force. Fascinating!!

They should send every 'weekend warrior' active duty reserve infantry unit that has drill that weekend to Groom to do some "Defensive perimeter" ops. It would be a big show of force to anyone.

The perimeter is guarded by a security contractor. I’m sure they would be hard pressed to cover all that ground. I’m sure the internal security is handled by AF security police. I would imagine the AF would fly in addition AF personnel to beef up security. Being that everything is joint now they would task the army to provide some assets, maybe several Stryker battalions. Then there’s active denial systems they could deploy. Oh, and as far as drones you can bet they’ll be flying along the 95 monitoring traffic.
 
I have been known to occasionally use this signage to defer people and their dick skinners from prodding around my engine compartment. But the sign readily insures more questions then I want to answer….
