Good Initial Timing and Too much Total Timing Problem. Seeking guidance to minimize total timing. 1969 Swinger 340 4 Gear

An accell distributor should have adjustable advance mechanism in it.

You can do some really nice work with that advance mechanism. Some guys hate it but it’s far better than the GM style advance mechanism.

The biggest issue is finding new weights. Once you modify the weight you are stuck with it. You can’t just go buy them.

I’m working on getting some made so I have them.
