Good Lord!! A "Hemi Healey" (BUGEYED SPRITE!!)

-
"We added traction control............"
"THAT'S no FUN!!"
"Well, you can turn it off.........."

Way cool car. That has its beginning in the 50s scene. Back when hot-rodders were using Model A frames and big Cadillac engines or early hemis.

I love her laugh when she hit's the gas pedal.

At least the brakes work and the throttle doesn't stick! :BangHead::BangHead::lol:

"Back in the Day" there was a local Sprite with an aluminum Buick 215 in it- that little SOB was a handful. I can only imagine it with a Hemi!

Saw it in person at the Spring Fling Mopar show this year.

Extremely cool!

Bob Ida ran one with a blown hemi back in the late 60's. Obviously not a street car though.

How much does the drivetrain take away from the gross horsepower? 25%? 50%?
Dave McClellan (may he RIP) once dyno'ed his 455 stage1 before and after putting it in his Buick. It lost just over 25% in the car.
Kinda depends on auto or stick, and if an auto, how big/how much trans and converter.
Depends who you talk to, but I believe 10-15% for a stick, 20% for a glide or maybe a 904, 25% for a turbo400, 727, C6.
Rearend makes a difference too. 9" eats more power than a dana/8 3/4/ 12 bolt.
