I have heard that a 68 Dart GTS was only available with a 383, is this true because I have seen people selling 68 GTS Darts with a 340 and saying that they are original. Just looking for clarification.

1967 GTS Darts were only avail with a 383. In 68 and 69, the GTS was avail with a 340.

Thanks. I just did some more checking on that and found out that they did offer a 340 in 68 and only a 383 in 67. It was a while ago I heard about that but could not remember the answer to my question. Thanks again. Eddie

Got a buddy w a blue 67 383 4 gear gts for sale. Rare car, but I like 68s the best myself. I have owned 2 68 340 gts

okay here is another question how many GTS were built? i am asking because i am looking, have been for a bit, for a dart and it seems that every other dart i find is a GTS

The 440 was available in 1969 with a A/T only 500 or so made I think

I have a family member who bought one new he added headers & a 4 speed with cheater slicks it would run 12.80's in the 1/4

It always surprises me when I see how few of our cars were produced. 5500 GTSs really isn't a big number.

Even though I grew up in a small Quebec town, we had Mopars all over - lots of muscle too so I thought back then that they must have built then in huge numbers. Now I know better of course.
