Guns, Dogs and Blades QnA

I have and like you just watching a few episodes I got all kind of insight. I thought I was fundamentally sound in my K9 training skills but after watching him it dawned on me I got nuthin! He is for real.
The last one I watched, he put a pack and some water bottles on a German Shepard. The dog settled down instantly. The ears even laid back. The dog had a job.

My 9 year old son got it done Friday morning. He put a 40 yard shot on this guy with my crossbow. Deer went about 75 yards and fell over.

I believe you are correct! Got it quartered out today and backstraps are cut and in the freezer. Inner tenderloins are marinating in the fridge for dinner tomorrow with some fried potatoes.
Do You butterfly those backstraps? A little trick my butcher friend turned me on to.

I went up to my property up north, and stopped in at macdonalds on the way back

They had a big ole sign up saying they were open early on November 15th

Thats a clear sign youre in God's country

I bought a second hand set of Redding .223 reloading dies and found there is also a .22-250 Redding resizing/depriming die in the box! If you load for .22-250 and can use this die, please PM me and we can get something figured out.

Anybody have some guidance for a guy that is new to eyeglasses?

A set of transitions lenses appeared last summer. I hate that I need them!!! Absolutely useless in the rain and in conjunction with any other optics. Binoculars/range finder/rifle scopes. They require much practice in the woods and on hills too.

How do you hunt / shoot with your changing eye sight?

What do you mean by transition lenses? Do you mean like bifocals or the lenses that turn dark when you’re out in the sun? I’ve worn glasses since my early 20s and yeah, they’re paying to use with binoculars, but they’re not a big deal as far as using a rifle, scope or spotting scope. The key is getting the frames fit so that you are looking through the center of the lens in whatever position you were shooting. when I’m shooting prone in Competition, I have a set of Knoblocs, which are fully adjustable for the position of the lens, but I just wear my regular glasses when I’m in the deer stand and make it work.

Anyone ever hear of a company called garaysar?

They make a cool looking 20ga shotgun, and i got a few boxes of 20 sitting on the shelf so, you know, perfect excuse
