I was wondering if anyone out here has ever had intestinal pain and blood in the urine after lifting heavy objects? I have been getting these symptoms since last week but am very leery about going to the doctor because if he puts me in the hospital then I will be unable to work and could lose my contract. I work by myself and cannot afford to lose my contract. I have been hoping this may pass but am wondering if anyone out here has ever experienced these symptoms. Also I have a kind of constant dull ache in my intestines. I was operated on for paritinitis about 6 yrs ago and had 13 feet of my intestines removed. I was thinking I may have a hernia? I have not had any fever so I believe I do not have any infection.

Blood in urine=no good.....GO TO THE DOCTOR PLEASE......

I think the blood in urine is a very bad sign and you should be looked at to find out why.

x2... it could be an infection, easily treatable with antibiotics but you don't want to leave it untreated and have it get more serious. It will be worth it to get yourself checked out for the peace of mind, better than not knowing and worrying. You will be ok....don't put it off!

If you get worse, you won't be able to work at all. If you go now, you might not be that long out. Go to the doctor, dumbass. Don't make me come to North Carolina and drag you.

That's what I was worried about. I have not told my wife and am just worried about some things:
1 My Health

2 I have no disability insurance and if I am laid up for a period of time. Bills will NOT be paid. Went down this road before and lost house last time I was sick. Still rebuilding after losing everything in a House Fire two yrs ago.

3 Losing my contract because I am unable to complete the work which is required per my contract. I have only had this contract less than a year and it is my only source of income.

Good. That's the smart thing to do. Keep us posted.

Hello brother, I have an advanced medical background. Please PM me.

Well-known causes of blood in the urine also include urinary tract blockage, usually the urethra by a stone, a tumor, a narrowing of the opening, or a compression from surrounding structures.
Blood clotting disorders and some medications could provoke blood in the urine. Antibiotics (such as Rifampin), analgesics (Aspirin), and anticoagulants (Warfarin, Phenytoin, and Quinine) commonly cause blood in urine.
Benign or non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate, known as benign prostatic hypertrophy is a common condition in older men that lead to blood in urine.
Chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and sickle cell anemia and viral infections could also be the cause for blood in the urine. In some cases, strenuous exercise, especially running, could cause repeated jarring of the bladder and thus lead to blood in the urine.
On the other hand, sometimes no cause is found for blood in the urine. If serious conditions such as cancer, kidney disease, and other chronic diseases that cause kidney damage or bleeding are ruled out, the cause for blood in urine is almost certainly not serious.

I lift appliances for a living and usually strain myself at least once or twice a week when I am working by myself. I am not earning enough to hire anyone to help me so I just run myself. This pain and blood started on Wednesday after I did a water heater on Tuesday which was full of water and would not drain out. Water heater was heavy as a son of a beatch to remove from home.

Time for a visit to the doctor. As said before, you may have a kidney stone causing the pain and bleeding. Your work is no good to you if you're not healthy.

Next time just Stick a crowbar thru the POS to drain it. If it is Junk who cares if you put a hole in it to drain it............

Blood in the urine is usually a sign of Kidney Stones!

Maniac,we ain't no Doctor's here but we're family. This is not something to even wait on for a day.Make the call and get checked out, now. Oh ,and tell your wife for God's sake, shouldn't keep things like that from her.just think if the shoe was on the other foot how you would feel.

Could not do this because the damn heater was inside the home on the first floor and I would have flooded the house.

My God, don't you have a hand truck? I used to do HVAC work, and if your contract is that flimsy, you need to SERIOUSLY consider finding different work.

This blood in the urine thing is VERY troubling. You MUST NOT and can NOT afford to ignore this, especially with your stated past medical history

Not only could this put you out of work, it could kill you.

the FIRST thing to do is tell your wife, and the second thing to do is call your doctor

Damn man. I wish we were closer. I would come help you everyday just to hang out and give you a hand. I know that's worthless...but I would.

Just had a very good conversation with Christopher (MMG). Thanks for all your knowledge and advice . I will be posting an update after I return from Dr.'s sometime tomorrow. I am praying it is not too serious and I have told my wife who will not take NO for an answer as to going to the Dr. I will still try to work and see if I can get a helper (day laborer) while I need help in lifting. Thanks to all for your help. I was not looking for a Dr out here, just some helpful advice on how to proceed with this. You guys and gals out here are truly the best and I am blessed to be a part of this very large Mopar family!!
