I was out running errands today here in Topeka. It was about 27°. I saw a BUNCH of people wearing a medium to heavy weight coat with summer weight shorts. Only about half of them were rather large. I don’t get it. If it’s cold enough to wear a medium to heavy coat, why wear shorts???? I just don’t get it!

Here in FL-

Currently 75* 47% humidity, it's been an odd combo of temp and humidity.

I found myself wearing long sleeves and shorts twice in the past week.

I think that is the fourth and fifth time I've done that in my life!

No kidding, I'd rather have my arms be cold then, well, you know

I rarely wear shorts/ cutoffs unless I'm in the boat. "I don't have the legs for it" LOLOL

i do that going to and from the gym.. some times i run errands after the gym so i'm still in shorts and a jacket.

Same as Joe. I only wear shorts to the gym - rain or shine. Then if I have to make a stop on the way home in the rain, I may have a sweatshirt on with shorts. Not a big deal.

Take a Northern girl down to the Deep South in Jan., temp is 30 degrees, but to here that is shorts weather and add a heavy jacket so she does not look foolish!! Been there, she done it, seen it!!

Well at least they didn’t have a heavy coat and a tutu

Knees?
Women with really fat thighs??????
Mostly all guys.

MAN!! I was at one of the thrift stores earlier, and there was a great lookin little gal in there wearing skin tight stretch pants, if you can call them pants. She had the best *** (and I don't like overly large) I have seen in a long time. I damn near told her so.

Well that's a perfectly acceptable reason.

Have you guys ever seen an episode of Street Outlaws ?
The dorks on those street race TV shows all seem to wear black knee high shorts and black hooded sweatjackets.
Seriously, it is so common, it looks like they wear the stuff like a uniform. Add in the other dudes with the insanely stupid flat bill hats...

I used to wear shorts until it was below zero, my legs didn't get cold easily. That was 20 years ago. I'll be 50 next year, and I bundle up now just to let the dogs out. However, after it's around zero, then it warms up to above 20, it feels warm outside. Gotta love aging.

I've been one that is happiest when I wear the least amount of clothes.
(No pictures of that.....You're welcome)
I prefer to wear shorts and a short sleeve shirt as often as possible. I can take the heat better than the cold though. When it gets below 60, I need a long sleeve shirt. Around 55, I need pants.

The fashion police showed up. The San Diego Dress code is a hooded sweatshirt and shorts. You think it's stupid? Go live there and you'll be doing the same thing pretty quick.

It's today's version of the backward hat.

The flat bill thing started with baseball. Even the tilted hat thing came from baseball. Originally it’s about more and better protection for your eyes so you can see the ball. My hats I wear for adult softball get just a slight bend. My regular hats get a medium bow.

when we moved to Arizona 10 years ago shorts were the uniform of the day. Winters here have moderate temps as compared to the rest of the country so I found shorts to not be a problem. My upper body would get chilly but not my legs. Now that I’m taking blood thinners that has changed.

I used to wear shorts and flip flops everywhere unless I was in the shop. It's hard to wear flip flops since I broke my foot, so now I wear.............CROCS!! You can't stop me!

I am just the opposite. I used to hate cold weather and hot weather did not bother me. Now, at 74, i don't like hot weather and I can tolerate cold weather. But I DO dress for cold weather.

Skin tight sweat pants in Idaho in December? That doesn't sound very warm.
