Helene flood, wind and human damage

Here I sit in bone dry central Texas (multi year drought), and I find it totally disheartening what everyone in the path of Helene is going through.

My hometown was about 1/2 wiped out by a 500 yr flood in ‘78. Property can be replaced, but the human losses are forever. Everyone prays for you.

I hope all profiteers and incompetent bureaucrats get what’s coming to them as you scratch your way back.

My church is doing a food and other needed items drive this weekend and going down. My local firehall is also doing a big drive. I know money isn’t a needed item to them but I can’t do a lot of heavy lifting right now so they also said all money raised will buy products here and delivered. Thank God I can see videos on Facebook of what is going on because our news gives it about 3 minutes of coverage.
