Hello All, I have a 1972 Chrysler Valiant Charger, a coupe that was unique to Australia, lasting from 1971 to 1979. The vehicle came with 215, 245, 265, 318, 340 and 360 Hemi motors, the 265 being the fastest 6 cylinder passenger vehicle until beaten by the Porsche 911. I have rhe 245ci hemi version, with no options, 3 sp column auto and non-matching numbers drivetrain. I will be upgrading everything on the vehicle, changing to 6.4l hemi (392ci) and magnum six speed manual trans, new and bigger brakes, irs, ifs, and a host of other upgrades. Project is about to start, so I'm sure to have a few questions to ask, which I'm sure the combined knowledge on this Forum will have no trouble answering (and disagreeing on :) ) Thanks for having me as part of your group!

This my beast, stock standard, and a blank canvas. Surprisingly for these cars, after 52 years, it is rust free!!

Cheers,
Lionel

Welcome from Texas, show us more pictures of that beauty.

Looks like a Mad Max Car.

How about a 440 with a big bad 871 sticking out of the hood?

I like it !

I heard the 265 Hemi would out run the V8s...

Yes, it outran just about everything at one time. It was the world's fastest six cylinder vehicle of its time and Australia's fastest accelerating car until 1988 - 27 years!

Love these cars. I've been wanting to bring one home with me but I'm priced out. I go to Chryslers On The Murray every year and the VH Charger is my favorite by far.
