Help my crap 60ft times!

You said you had electrical problems. That needs to be fixed first. You need a better shock.I ran the M/T MP shocks when I ran 002/003 springs in my Dart no pinion snubber and a 3 way adj comp eng shock and a 425W5 motor and 5600 stall 8 in with a 727 29.5x10.5 M/T slick 4.30 gear with 12.25 lbs of air launched at 5000rpm shifted at 6900rpm and crossed at 7000rpm and best of 1.32 60ft [email protected] 60ft were 1.35.

Damn, I suck lol. Electrical problem is fixed, combination of bad connections and voltage regulator(s). Just ordered the MP shocks today, $34 each with my parts discount, props to my grandpa lol.

12.90's @ 106mph are not good. 60 foot is way off. Should be able to pull a low 1.7x on drag radials and run a 12.50.

I took the knowledge I got here and applied it, putting on MP rear shocks, Comp Eng. 90/10 fronts and removing the SS spring clamps behind the axle and clamping the front took me from a 1.91 60ft, and a 12.9@106 to a new personal best of a 1.80 60ft with a 12.40@107, also on that pass I had an eigth mile time of 7.94 so that's my first time into the 7's there. I am sure there is more in this with some fine tuning but my slowest pass that day was a 12.66. And I straight up cracked the Chevy guys from town to the point that two of them wouldn't even race me after out running an aluminum headed BBC Chevelle (I run clocks off so they were clueless) Thanks FABO!! 8) :-D

Very good work.

Work on the front end to get it loosened up. Keep chipping away at the 60'. Squirters and pump cams and jet it up until MPH slows down. Move your total timing around a bit too. Change launch RPM, try loading it hard against the converter pushing through your brakes, then, try nailing it from just off idle and everywhere in between

There are some things you could change that would help et/mph. A 904 and more converter would pick up at least .15 and 1-2, maybe 3 mph, victor 340 or Air Gap intake (I'm not a fan of the strip dominator). The trans is really if you go nuts and want every bit it has in it.

Nice runs!

Thanks, a victor 340 will be on it's way once I get settled into this new job. I had planned to do some pump cam tuning but there just wasn't enough passes in the day. I did get to launch it different ways and it doesn't like being built up to the max and did worse when I just smacked it off idle, did it's best holding around 1200 rpm. Next step is gona be more gear and throw in the 4600 converter and let it run wild.
