I have pictures below of my accelerator pedal. How do I connect this? I know the pedal is fixed to the floor, am I missing a bushing or a bolt? Same with up top, is there a bushing I need?

Any help appreciated.

Looks like there were two slant six throttle linkage setups. I'm not familiar with the A/C setup, but it looks like you may have mismatched pedal and pivot assembly.

That pedal is incorrect for your year model. You need a pedal with the flat plastic "pad" to contact the gas pedal arm.

Alrighty, the gas pedal arm isn’t spoon shaped though, it’s a rod with a hole in it at the bottom.

Now wait a minute now, in your pictures up there ^^^^^ you have the gas pedal arm that needs the pedal with the flat on it like I described. Unless you took a picture of a different arm.

I know some early-a slant six cars with AC came with a V8 throttle pedal and bracket assembly like the one pictured, but your pictures it’s hard to see the part that bolts to the firewall, doesn’t look right to me. Has the bracket been modified it is it a newer pedal assembly? Your pedal is correct for slant six cars...but won’t work with the other stuff you have....and not sure about that hole an early-a car never had that

Looks like you have a newer throttle pedal bracket/assembly, that also explains the hole. I think some people made this swap, but not sure what it all involves....maybe you just need the plastic gas pedal part like the one pictured?

The car could very well have been modified in the past. There have been previous owners. I’ve only had it for five days, which I calculate to be approximately 0.00025% of its existence lol
