How do you go about completing the transaction with someone a thousand miles away? He has a delivery service to pick tve car up, but he's leary of sending tve money via Western Union without having the paperwork to transfer ownership, and I'm leary of faxing that paperwork without having the money. How do you guys do it?

Use your bank and his bank to handle the transaction. It will cost a few dollars but you will both be protected. I could explain how I have done it with my bank but your bank may be different. Car lots do it all the time so any bank should be able to do it.

How about a Bank draft?
His bank sends a Draft envelope to you.
You fill out the title, make a copy, insert the title in the Draft & send it back to his bank.
When they recieve the title/draft back, his bank will send you a check.
This may take two to three weeks to get completed.
This is how most of the dealers in Oklahoma are doing it.
It protects the buyer & seller.
Of course, you can always deliver the draft in person & they will cut you a check while you wait. But thats a 1000 miles away.
