I have an older set of non polished imitation centerlines and I would like the polished look but not sure how or where to start.

Thanks

thanks just wash and use the polish? will it bring out the chrome type shine of the polished versions?

I use one of those powerballs with that old inexpensive turtle wax polishing compond that comes in a flat can. Or if you have access use buffing compond from a body shop.

Will polishing work if they are satin finished? Or whatever the imitation centerlines call the duller look. I have them from American Racing/Outlaw Ones.

Start sanding.

I think the machine grooves might be too much texture to polish out with a liquid powder.
I would start with 1000 grit and work towards 2000 grit. The smoother the paper at the end of the process, the easier it will be to buff them with the Power Ball, Flitz, etc.
