How to test the horn

My horn is also not working on this 72, haven't really looked into it much... Horn works with 12V applied so need to backtrack to the relay and the switch, just haven't done it yet. One strange thing I have noticed is when I shift out of park my turn signal lights will flick on for a second... WTF would cause that?
 
is this as you pass through reverse and into drive? what happens whens you put the car in reverse... ? sounds like you may have the back up lights connected to your turn lights...

Just one flicker as the car comes out of park. Everything else works as it should minus the turn signals - very slow to actually flash, stay on solid for a good second - flash - on another second etc.... Sometimes don't flash at all, just stay on solid
