Good luck to all our members and friends in the path of this storm. Looks like the mountain region is getting hammered with record flooding.

It dodged me completely. was hoping for a couple of inches of rain. We got cool weather and rain, hope you don't have damage when you get home, Joe

Good to hear from you Joe ! Someday Theresa & I will have to stop in. How's the married life ! Tell Brenda we say hello !

We dodged it over in the west panhandle also. The Air Force flew all the planes out on Wednesday in an abundance of caution.

I saw on the news where a Tesla was under water. Salt water and batteries don't mix well.

Prayers for those dealing with the aftermath.

Al, still have the 75 Valiant if you have room while out picking, everything going well with us, tell Theresa hi and stop by sometime, Joe

Kitty and I and all the kitties made it fine. The storm was on track for us to be on the dirty side, but it tracked to the east of us instead, thanks be to God. We never even lost power. We did lose internet, but we watched Clint Eastwood DVDs all night. lol

Bad for me. You know your **** out of luck when the national weather service talks about the street you live on. Major, Major flooding by my place in Tennessee. East Tn. rescues going on right now. Historic flooding 22 dead so far.

Here in North Georgia, Helene was slightly worse than the storm we had on Wednesday, maybe by 50% more rain and wind speed. Wasn't great to have them back to back, but most of the Atlanta area is ok except for a few spots of flooding and downed trees.

Sorry to read! Strength and +ve thoughts sent!:canada::usflag:

When I saw the path of this storm, I worried more about Georgia and Tennesse because of the terrain. Florida is flat and sandy soil so very little flash flooding, not so for areas to the north.

28 dead now. National Guard heading out. Tring to figure out how to get people out of my aera. Dams are failing all over east Tn. and a lot of major bridges are gone. Roads are parking lots with truckers and cars. The Nolichucky River has already.tied for the 2nd place of all time flood stage. i40 the road is gone and i26 is closed to North Carolina. I sure hope all my friends are safe.

Where is your area?

More than a little flooding in Atlanta area. Woke up to several inches of water in my lower level this morning. I don't know how much it rained the last 48 hrs at my house, but a 5 gallon bucket in my yard that was empty Wednesday before the rain started filled and overflowed by this morning.

One daughter in Gulfport, Fl. lost her real estate office right on Tampa Bay from the surge. Her house survived about a 1/2 mile inland, so thankful for that.

Man seeing all these images out of Florida is heart breaking but then I see the images of North Carolina and Tennessee, places you’d never imagine a hurricane affecting, and it’s just gut wrenching. Praying for everyone

All the way up to North Carolina.

That much water is unreal, floating 2 ton box trucks like they are a Saltine Cracker box.

I'm up in Cincinnati. The wind knocked down two 50' + trees. The one missed the house by (---) this much. It did get the back deck. The top of the tree took out about 4' of deck railing, several chairs are bent up and a glass top table is destroyed. It also destroyed a really nice pop up that we had out there.
We didn't loose power on my street, but there was close to 200k out at one point yesterday.
It's a mess, but nowhere as bad as the folks in North Carolina and Georgia seemed to get it.
The storm is parked over top of Paducah Ky now and throwing a lot of rain up my way.
