for those of you who didnt know, my brother owns a small chassis fab shop here in minneapolis. we dont only do chassis.... starting to do body work, and getting a paint booth this week. also a spray chroming setup for chroming almost anything any color you want. Some of you were asking if i knew how to fabricate the answer is i think i suck, some say otherwise.
here are a few pictures of my fab work on 67 gto owned by the co owner of the shop. i did almost everything except the cage. i notched the cross member and moved the motor mounts down and made a new firewall because we also moved the motor back. i also made the motor plate out of aluminum. motor is a 598 bbc made 903hp on pump gas, cant remember tq numbers right now but it makes alot of it really fast and stays there. its getting a 400 plate added to the 900 horse also. getting a lenco. has a moser 9 inch and the car is not tubbed planning to run 10 inch slicks.
street car. :burnout:

car is for sale now... 1800 bucks gets you the car fresh machined 440 block forged crank bare 906 heads 2 sets of 4bbl rods. complete trim for the car 2 grilles and valences, hand made fiberglass rear bumper narrowed 8 3/4 rear(in the car) 489 case. other misc stuff. cant really afford the car now, and have no place to put it so im screwed, and i think it just needs to go.

HW - Bummer. Too bad I don't have room to place it either or I'd certainly scoop it up.

Hmmm, a buddy of mine might be interested in it. Can you PM me a phone number and I can have him call you. His name is Jerry Simmers. Even tho we're in N/E PA he can borrow a trailer from another friend of ours and come get it if he's interested.

moved the car to a shop today, just need to get a job to pay rent on it.
the guy that towed it has built two sub 9 second 65 big block darts, he wants to help as much as possible.

hw, does that mean there's a chance you'll be keeping it and at some point "pecking away" at it? I hope so, its a cool car and since it has some local to you drag history that makes it that much more special.

its is the white bear dodge dart, its still kinda for sale or trade for like a dsm car or something. but im not advertising it. i plan on keeping it and working on it daily like i am now, unless someone comes and puts the money or a nice trade in my face. looking for a dirt bike...
ive been playing around with some bondo, i have no idea how to do it correctly so im just winging it. but whatever.

uhhhh letss seee here....
DISCLAIMER!
NEVER USED FILLER ANYWHERE BUT EASY FLAT SURFACES, SOMETHING THIS CAR LACKS...
ive decided to go with the beater look cause i hate bodywork. :wack: :newb: ive been working on this damn fender all week and its still not perfect so im gonna do the black front end like the hemi darts had. gonna do my final coat of mud tomorrow and buzz bomb it, luckily the other fender isnt as bad so i can just do like one thin coat of mud and buzz bomb that too. with the exception of the sail panels and quarter lips the rest of the car is fairly straight. also theres no rust anywhere thank god. hoping to have the car sprayed by the new year... kind of a realistic goal maybe? school is not as often between now and the new year so i can spend more time trying to get it in the booth. then suspension and fab work :glasses7: ok you're bored now heres crappy pics of my crappy work on my crappy car.

Hey hw612,it looks like your learning and the more you do the better you get.The only way to learn,is to actually do it,which you are!Keep at it,you,ll get it done.:D

hw looking good. if you work that fender more I am sure you can get it looking the way you want or look for another one here.

yeah i dont really want to work on it much more, it looks better now its got few more coats of mud and now its primed. im sure all the bondo will fall off the first time i launch the car anyways lmao.

like your car i have a 63 also alot of set backs over the years gutted and back half done rounding up parts when i can i have a 63 4dr parts car let me know if you need something off it

caught a large case of the f**k its... quickly, and sloppily i am doing the body work on the front clip and buzz bombing it black. cause i like the hemi dart look. tried to re brace my hood and build the scoop into it cause all that was there was the outer skin, but its totally ruined imo cause the only way it could look right is falling from a high bridge... may have found one from a 64 locally.... hmm. yeah thats whats up for now, my phone memory is full so pictures are on standby, also hoping to get the scarebird kit for xmas. and maybe getting my motor further along... been working on my brothers el camino, also tons of bodywork, and hes gonna see if hes able to spray. just bought a single stage mohogany brown metallic kit from tcp for 100 bucks. so if he dosent suck at spraying then we can do the back half of mine, ivory white. looking for .030 pistons for my 440 hypers or forged... new/used. also a body superstock springs, and 11in brakes for a 8.75.
