The Mopar Martian.
havent worked on the dart because of the long weekend and not being at school. also this week i guess you could say im being trained to run my high school's 70 nova... its a 400 horse 406 sbc. turbo 400 trans. runs 12.30s. this will be my first time down the dragstrip if i get to drive next saturday. im doing launches for sure in the parking lot this week but someone else maybe driving on saturday...
for those of you who didnt know, my brother owns a small chassis fab shop here in minneapolis. we dont only do chassis.... starting to do body work, and getting a paint booth this week. also a spray chroming setup for chroming almost anything any color you want. Some of you were asking if i knew how to fabricate the answer is i think i suck, some say otherwise.
here are a few pictures of my fab work on 67 gto owned by the co owner of the shop. i did almost everything except the cage. i notched the cross member and moved the motor mounts down and made a new firewall because we also moved the motor back. i also made the motor plate out of aluminum. motor is a 598 bbc made 903hp on pump gas, cant remember tq numbers right now but it makes alot of it really fast and stays there. its getting a 400 plate added to the 900 horse also. getting a lenco. has a moser 9 inch and the car is not tubbed planning to run 10 inch slicks.
street car. :burnout:
these are my mig welds ground down.
these are my mig welds on control arm mount boxing i made.
its hard to weld above your head laying down. so i think they look like crap.
these are braces that go from the upper to lower control arm mounts.
i made and migged these.
my tig welding on the brace of the 9 inch. these are ground down a bit.
in order to finance my dart i am building this 72 duster for the wife of one of my brothers friends. this car is getting a VERY mild 440.
thats it for now!
i might be able to get some stuff done on the dart this week but not sure...
thanks.
