Hyper pak exhaust manifold value

If they were so good, where's the tubular versions? That looks pretty simple to make. Heck, the angel wing cast iron hemi headers were F'n crazy looking but no one ran them because tubular full length headers were so much better. Maybe a class thing? Have welder, will make.
On the Contrary: The Cast Tubular headers were Very effective, with their Long'sh tube-branch Mid pipes. Go ask Cotton Owens (Racer turned Tuner of the Time )
Most probably didn't run them because of over counter cost/availability for 413/426 or you had to have Privilege of probably factory backed 2 x 4 wedge/Hemi, where most then produced went: the race specials to who's who.
Cheers T

Yes its my engine. A 170 slant thats having the hyperpak treatment.
Let you into a 'title secret: the pre '71 Slant 225 2bbl 'Pacers' in Australia, Both the 4 Door Dressed up Sedan (like in this Displayed Advert) & the 2 Door Pillar less Hardtop (VF/VE models etc ) USED a split Twin Outlet Exhaust Manifold & gutted muffler, as well as a Warmer factory Cam along with its 2bbl BBD Carter Carb ) & Tach in the Dash & 3 speed Manual Shift on the Floor ... That was a torquey beast that engine.
May find a pic of one somewhere: unofficially Chrysler AUST Rated them at about I think 178-180+ HP but kept the Rating at the Std 160hp 2bbl 225ci /6 figure (officially).
Best wishs...T

Getting back to the question at hand, IMO, since the Dutra Duals are available for "around" 500 bucks, that makse the Hyper Pack manifolds worth about the same. Unless you have an original Hyper Pack car missing the manifolds. For the practicality and functionality, the Dutra Duals are every bit as good and possibly better, so to ME that diminishes the original Hypar Pack manifolds value a lot.

Actually for the pair of dutra duals from Aussie $704 shipped to the USA. That $70 bucks per 1 horsepower. 10 h.p gain according to hotrod Dyno. Lol

I bought a pair of slant headers listed as Mopar back bout mid or late 90's.Looks like someone would make some reasonable and NOT Mr. Clifford!?

Looked at a set of Hooker headers for a slant six, lately? Over $500.00, and they will not fit a 60-66 "A" body, or any vehicle, with a 170 CID.
PS: Clifford shorties will not fit a 170 engine either, or a 60-66 "A body 225 with power steering.

Didn't you see MY various other postings/pics on other threads ?? OR has the 'Freeze-out' Started fer sure ? ... NOT made IN Australia. NOT overpriced & NOT Chinese made Sh*te (Although they did/do have a Chrysler Jeep assembly Plant there [China]...) AND THESE AVAIL FOR EXPORT/IMPORT INTO USA FROM Experienced manufacturer/freight forwarder/own customs agent, (for decades)
Again, how many do you want ?? & I can send JUST the x 2 top pairs from just after long tapered scientifically tuned Cones back ??.(to save weight/area/$$,..how many others offer that ?? DON'T TRY ASKING THE TOUCHY AUSSIES THAT)
BTW Aussie Speed ©TM. think they are selling Gold bullion: reflected in their prices, particularly alloy products.
(& I go back to the ORIGINAL Speed merchants in/of Australia, whom helped shape & forge the industry, sobi know what I know & speak + they market trying to make things a 'Black art')
Just saying is all...
T

PS & a couple a Jeep 4.0 added too for good measure to emphasise the importance of correct DIA & LENGTH of Intermediate Pipes.

I'd argue that value or worth of anything varies. HemiSSdart found Mike Sargent who was willing to pay a premium it sounds like. I agree with another poster about a set selling for what I thought was a reasonable cost on Ebay a couple years ago (900-1000 if I remember correctly). A restorer is likely to pay more for an uncut/modified set than those in the OP's photo. Agree with many posters that long tube steel tubular headers are better for max hp on a 170 cid especially at higher RPM's (I routinely shifted mine at 7500) making the hyper pak exhaust manifolds a non-necessity in pure performance terms which could drive down the value some. In the early '90's Galen Goviea (sp?) had a Hyper-pak intake and heavily pitted exhaust setup at a swap meet in Long Beach CA and wanted $1800 then. I'd have paid it then as it was the only one I'd ever seen up until that point except I wanted to eat and pay rent for the next month or five. Find the right buyer at just the right time and sky's the limit but price (worth?) may change drastically if just out in the marketplace where there are other options available that perform better. Think of a buyer who's willing to pay a premium for their old high school car now all restored. Their willingness to pay a premium for that particular car has nothing to do with the value/worth of the vehicle, it is their own sentimentality that they are willing to pay to relive. The point i'm trying to make is that value or worth and sales price are often not the same nor even related.

@ Hyper_pak - The high alternator mount is correct for '60 only Valiants sold with power steering option because P/S pump was located in the spot of the low mount alternator. Rarely seen as so few were ordered with power steering.

No I didn't. How about some details? Can you post link(s)?
Correction, I did see your reference in the "TTI" thread, but saw nothing about fitment for left hand drive, priceing, or how to order. Just discussion about design differences.

I just don't know why anyone would want power steering on a A. They are so easy to drive to me anyway.

when you start putting big tires on them, and you drive in an urban environment with parallel parking, etc it comes in handy. I added it to my 66 cuda and I don't regret it at all.
