My retired LEO Friend told me to get th the tag# , I was in the process of jumping out and in front. That sob would have prolly hit me too. I imagine it was a non native. If ya caint have situation awareness while yer driving, you don't need to drive. I was gonna chase em down. I Was Mad as heck. My girl was with me.. she said no. And of course, some gals being smarter, she was right. I would have been the one locked up....
If you don't pull over for a funeral in this county and it's being escorted by this county's sheriff's department, they WILL fall OUT of line and come get your stupid ***. I've seen it happen. LOL

Never heard or read of any concerns about using the MP chrome box on the street, but have read elsewhere regarding the “race black/gold box” it was an excessive heat issue, but have read here (takes a little time searching posts about use) and elsewhere that many have used them on the street with no issues. Obviously not a viable option for a stop & go daily driver but for a street/strip setup properly mounted with some additional cooling (add a heat sink) is all I’d be concerned about with any box, regardless of the color or suggested use.
These are for the OEM boxes from Mopar. The high rev is a great aftermarket box. Beware of the new ones if the TO3 transistor is kind of tall and no markings it is oversees junk like the new Mopar orange boxes out there also the ones with a "replaces #XXXXXXX are junk. Find older real ones they are out there. Hope it helps with the confusion on these.

When i purchased the 7500 from Rick E on EBay - I was testing all types of Chrysler ECUs , and canister oil filled coils a few years back
When it finally failed , I removed the potting and found
By the way , under the sticker , it clearly was stamped in the metal dimpled

No. That's a standard stock unit. The hi rev 7500 is made in USA.
That one from Autozone is a knockoff, fake TO3 transistor on it at a glance.

Yup. Those are supposed to be nice. Last I read though, they were having difficulty getting parts like everyone else. In fact, they got a batch of bad parts and had to replace some boxes. They did though, like the stand up folks they are. I don't know if they've gotten "all that" completely worked out or not.
Yup, rebadged parts store items with his “hype” added to make you think you’re getting a special piece, that he has them made exclusively for him. Like his new electronic distributors he hawks. Fell for the exciting verbiage, bought one, realized it was a WP Chinese distributor available everywhere. Sent it back and got one elsewhere.....for a lot less $$
Yup. We have a member on here right now fighting with one of his distributors. Found out real quick it doesn't have the curve it was advertised to have.
Rob as you know I have been beating the hell out of ECU's on my tester and mockup. Run from the fake ones, even the new authorized orange boxes are junk made overseas. Never tested one of the REVENATORS yet, just never came across one.
Saw that was going to pipe in but got crazy. If you get the right curve in your distrib for your setup like adding a 50 shot of NOX
Also a note worth looking at is, Rick's boxes has the "HiREV 7500" sticker on the opposite side from the Jegs boxes. Kinda makes you wonder.
How well I know. Mine runs way better than a slant 6 has a right to.
