1973 duster. Gutted the doors and lost 52 pounds each! I made some frames out of a sign material that has a very thin aluminum on both sides of a 1 / 8 inch plastic to epoxy my plexiglass windows too ,but now how do I hold them in there? The sign material makes the curvature but I'm not sure how to bolt them in and make sure it's dragstrip leagel??? I took everything out! Please help! View attachment 20140903_194147.jpg

View attachment 20140904_184342.jpgI would like to be able to go full up and full down without a crank arm just up for drag and down for street.

The old SS cars used a seat belt "up and over" the door inside, you pull the belt up, fold in down over the door, and latch it

I have ideas like pulling the plexiglass up by a bunggie cord and let it drop in the door, but is that leagel? ??

Dude, get yourself a tech book.

I'm not sure the NHRA or anyone cares how your windows work

(I'm not sure ) the NHRA or anyone cares how your windows work

Or how there attached?
I seen nothing in the book.
Why even have a window if it's only attached by a thread?
I was trying to get an idea from someone who is sure!
I don't care how they work just as long as they pass tec.

Get an edelbrock tuning book, get an owners manual, get a rule book.
I got it and get it!
Let me be a little more specific--
Could I please get some pictures of your plexiglass/lexan windows
and how you put them in?
or a copy of your 1973 grocery getting slant six air conditioned car into a full-blown dragster car book!:glasses7:

Lexan is what you want to use. Back to your original question most cars I've seen make a frame out of round rod and bolt the window to it by welding tabs to the rod. My car has factory glass and I made a bracket that would go under the window and fold over the top of the door. Then I fastened the bracket to the flat part of the door top.
