I always wished that intake came 1-2 inches lower so you could port it then add and blend your spacers.
There are two versions listed last time I looked.

You had fun and didn't break anything, so it was a good outing. What were your 1/8 mile numbers?good morning, back from a weekend at the track. We had decent weather, not the best conditions but at least dry. Track was good.
Engine / Car ran good, it feels definively stronger in the upper rpm range - pulls to 7000 hard. I got 5 runs with the first ones all over the place, had to adjust to the new combination a little. Got a new PB (10.44), a new best top speed (129 mph) and a new best 60ft. (1.47s). All of that in different runs. Unfortunately the newly installed steering box gave up with a lot of play, input shaft moves in and out....car was no longer safe to drive. I´m pretty sure a 10.3 would have been possible with more rpm in the first two gears.
so all in all the old standard port setup wasn´t that bad. considering the cost i´d probably would have done better with a set of Bloomer SB Heads. I´ll get the steering issue fixed and will get more track time - unfortunately due to work schedule not this summer....earliest end of the season. I think another cam change is necessary to get more gain out of the cylinder heads - we´ll see what i come up with ;-)

Hi Dwayne, no unfortunately not. I´m pretty sure the weather now was not as good as back in fall of 2023 when it ran the previous best. It seems i had too big expectations, have to tune the new combination to reach full potential.Exactly what I’d expect to see from installing larger heads.
Sometimes it can even come with TQ penalty in the lower rpm range.
Do you have weather data for both runs that could be used to correct them to standard sea level conditions?
here we go.
old heads (Lift / Flow I/E) .100 68 65 .200 144 112 .300 213 156 .400 258 194 .500 282 216 .600 294 218 .700 300 220
new heads (Lift / Flow I/E) .100 70 53 .200 144 110 .300 206 150 .400 260 182 .500 296 206 .600 316 224 .700 324 232
directly compared the new heads intake numbers are better from .400" Lift and up, the exhaust numbers are not as good as with the procomps. At the moment i run a cam that´s 250/250 @ .050", i think some split (more exhaust duration) would help the situation. I have sth. in my mind.....as always, still learning as i go.

It's not hard to decipher, just a line instead of a chart.Boy I know it’s more work but some of you guys are sure lazy posting flow numbers. That looks like my grandmother’s Scramble board.
