Is/was there ever a 340 Magnum

-
I don't think so. It would be a Dodge.

IDK what you are asking.

Pic of the badge?

71/72 340 Dart and Demon (and 73 340 Dart Sport) could have 340 Magnum badges.

As could 71-73 340 Challengers.

71 340 Super Bee and 72/73 340 Rallye Chargers would have a larger badge.

As could 71-73 40 Challengers.

I remember the callouts on the car but not on the air cleaner. I hope someone can prove me wrong.

Did he say air cleaner?

340 magnum yes, not like 5.2-5.9 magnum though, if that's the confusion

340 Magnum would be a Dodge only name.
My best friend has a A66 340 Magnum 70 challenger. Not an R/T, but it has a 340 Magnum emblem on both sides of the hood, and a 340 magnum pie pan on the aircleaner.
Edit: this post is WRONG! My memory is faulty. Her car is a real, legit, A66, and it has a 340 four barrel callouts on the hood and piepan.

My 73 340 Rally Charger had "340 MAGNUM" badges on each side of the power bulge hood. So yeah, there was a 340 Magnum. This car was all original when I got it, except for front fenders, bumper and valance. We repaired it after the guy I got it from ran it into a brick mailbox and then a brick wall. The hood is original to the car and you can clearly see the "340 MAGNUM" callout emblem. Here's a picture.

Did the OP say "Roadrunner"?

Bottom line-

Answer is "yes".

However, I need to fact check myself-

Challengers had "340 Four Barrel" emblems.

Dang, now that I think about it, you may be right!. I remembered a 340 hood emblem on my friends car, but it's quite possible it says 340 FOUR BARREL.
Edit: YY1 is dead-right! My friends A66 70 challenge says 340 four barrel on the hood.

I had to blow the picture up a bit but you were a bit younger back then.

As previously mentioned Challenger said 340 Four Barrel...

I don't recall seeing 340 Magnum on any 70/71/72 Mopars... 73 Charger Rally is the first & only car I recall seeing that badge on... And they were pretty big, like the 440-Sixpack and 426-Hemi badges.... the 440-Magnum/383-Magnum & 340 Four Barrel badges were all small letters..
